Thanks, Doc! My Dad bought me several of your books in high school and they made me a much better golfer and person. Now, in my mid 30’s, I still play my game rooted in your teachings. The funny thing is, I apply the same teachings in my daily life... Attitude is everything and force never gets it done. Living right, in the now, and trusting the process of doing so, creates happiness and success. Thanks for helping show me the way🙏🏻

Thx 👍 Brad was a very good putter, one of the best on the PGA tour.. I will take all I have heard form this book to the cours, and forget it all on the first tee. I am an hopeless case.

Listening to the DR. Has helped me drop from 30 to 20 handicap in just the 6 months I have been playing. Staying calm, trusting your mechanics and playing smart are what I get from his books. This is the holy grail for anyone in whatever field or sport. Stay confident so you make great decisions. When you let stress or excitement into the “game”, your mind gets jumbled with the noise and it’s impossible to make the right decisions.

Helped me get over the hump as well. I was stuck at shooting 74- 75 . I was making birdies and playing good enough, just couldn't get rid of those 5 or 6 shots a round that would inflate my score. Proper self talk and learning how to practice was the difference.

When playing a round you simply have to convince yourself you that you are hitting your easiest shot no matter what shot you are playing. In my case I think of the second shot on a par 5, the easy lay up. I keep repeating “I’m laying up in the fairway” then I swing smoothly.

Totally agree that confidence isn’t stated. With putting, getting the thought to roll it versus making it. Takes a lot of angst out of it.

Well written and well read. I felt I was there every shot.

Now that there is so much betting, golf is now a confidence game.

Free will is likely an illusion. Actions and thoughts that arise into consciousness are determined by many factors including environmental conditioning. Teachings of Bob Rotella are part of conditioning that can lead to the desired state talked about in this teaching. Same result but no need to ignore neuroscience principles and the way animal behaviour is determined.

Kind of a borefest. I had expected more than a shot by shot recap of pros shots. 😮
