Hi PJ my car cuts out while driving, when I attempt to start again it does not start, I than serviced, changed my coil, that did not assist. I than changed my carb base plate and the car was driving beautiful for two days, today It started cutting out again, advice? I have a pirate Carb for more than a year.

Are you referring to the mechanical fuel pump?..

@@thamsanqasagwityi1407 OK, best to do it when you take carb off the manifold and base plate.. Flip the carb upside down, and you will see 3 small screws.. Loosen these and you will see a spring, and then the diaphragm. Remove old diaphragm, replace with new one.. Don't forget to put spring back. (watch where things go when loosening up. Take a pic if necessary).. Put back the 3 screws then you done...

What could be the problem on the carb if u constantly see fuel leaks on the manifold and sometimes there is bad smell

Could be over fueling, or the accelerator pump diaphragm, or also torn base plate

Don't exactly know it's exact name.. But It comes in the carb kit. I wud call it the" accelerator pump diaphragm "
