Hi.. Could be your heater control valve in the engine Bay, could be stuck open, or the cable de- tached

Bro my heater blows cold. The pipes that lead to the fire wall are not hot they luke warm. Someone said I should replace my heater valve. What do you think ?
@pjs-golfmk1-diy Жыл бұрын
Could be your thermostat stuck open,,or you have no thermostat ,if the coolant is not heating up to hot ..

Hi PJ's, I'm scratching my head with this heating issue. For some reason, I only get hot air from the windshielddefroster and when switching to the driver and passenger blower, I only get cold air. Any thoughts on this?

I have this exact problem, not yet found out what it is.
@lukasvercaempst4411 ай бұрын
@@mikekeuben It looks like that's just the way it works from factory, very primitive. I took a look at the heater box again and is seems you can only get hot air from defroster and floor blowers.

@@lukasvercaempst44 can't be, what year is yours? Mine actually worked and stopped working all of a sudden. I do believe there is a plate that moves inside the heaterbox when you go from window to the canals facing us.

Hi thanks. My fan also makes alot of noise sometimes.

Check on the actual fan under the rain tray...sometimes leaves and debris get into it

Thanks any tips on a very noisy interior fan
@pjs-golfmk1-diy3 жыл бұрын
Hi there. The fan blades could be touching something... Or there could be leaves or something in that area where the fan spins. You will have to have a closer look at the fan by lifting up the rain tray.. Switch on the fan and observe what is causing noise. You may just see something

Hi,I removed my heater core on my Golf Mk1,flushed it out and allot of dirty water came out almost dark brown rusty,I changed my heater matrix near the firewall aswell and manualy put the selector to open cause my selector cable snapped,the car heated up to half on the gauge but still no warm air inside,I could feel that the pipe was warm at the intake pipe of the core.My blower is also working fine cause the air is blowing inside.Do you have any idea what else could be wrong?I removed the thermostate for now just to see if it would help.
@pjs-golfmk1-diy3 жыл бұрын
Hi there. Usually when that happens it means the internal pipes on the core are still partially clogged up.. Could be that u have to flush the core out some more... Use an additive, or even vinegar..
@pjs-golfmk1-diy3 жыл бұрын
But u will have to drive with that additive or vinegar in engine for a while, like a day or 2...for it to do its Job.. But with heater set to the open position..

@pjs-golfmk1-diy3 жыл бұрын
Hi.. It's your heater control valve in the engine Bay.. The cable may be disconnected, or snapped.. So hot coolant is flowing to your heater constantly..

@pjs-golfmk1-diy2 жыл бұрын
@@realbalaclava no ,don't have to dismantle dash..I think if you take out your radio,(assuming you have old spec dash), you can see the cable through there ..just hook it up to the lever again
