If you have came to the comments section to tell me i didnt use the star pattern when tightening the alloy. No need to comment.. im aware sorry if i offended you i will improve next time. Thanks for watching tho 👍 Also for some reason my mic seems to make the golf sound like a tractor... It doesn't sound like that in person and there is oil in it haha

It's less about the star pattern and more about the fact that the wheel bolts were not properly torqued.

Boy how things have changed in 4 years! I hadn’t seen this vid but found it when searching for golf wheel spacer vids. Congrats on how well things are going!

Absolutely nailed with the 15mm rear + 12mm front spacers! Looks mint.

Hi guys looks v nice . thinking to do the same on mine. Question , can i go with 18mm and 12mm without touching the sides ?

Loved my white 3dr Clubsport No73 with the 19's. Bought second hand with 200 miles on the clock. They depreciated massively in 2017. Only complaint was mine didn't come with the adjustable shocks. Makes for a pretty wallowy car. Great initial turn-in, way better than my M4 was. Was quick after the APR S1 map. If anyone out there is running KR66 OKK, it's been remapped.

Did getting the APR tune get rid of the over-boost feature? Looking to get a CS and the 265/290 malarkey seems a bit naff

Ive done the Spulen "super flush" spacerson my GTI. 15mm in the front and 20mm in the rear and the fitment is perfect. Looks really good lads!

Watched this guide with a friend. No spring compressor needed but removing the strut nuts was a BITCH. The 2x4 method works perfect on the passenger side.

Nice. That looks much better. Glad I watched this as I thought 5-10mm might have been enough! You can tell your mate that only 570 clubsports were imported not the 1000 they planned. So it’s even rarer 😁

Only thing I'd do different is apply less grease, just a thin film - you don't want that grease get out when some centrifugal forces come into play and get it on your brakes when you'll need them most.

With the lowering springs fitted, does this affect the dccd…?

I'm wondering about the fitment for my car. I'm going to lower it an inch or three, but if I do spacers too I dont want it to rub the fender. Anyone got any ideas? Should I go 15 front 20 back or will that be too much

Hello friend, how many millimeters are the rear spacers and how many millimeters are the front ones that were installed in the gti clubsport?

What size wheels are these?
@Brunskop5 жыл бұрын
Please do not put grease on the wheel hub. The torque of the engine is transfered to the wheels by friction between the hub, spacer and wheel. If you put grease in between, the friction is not enough and the bolts can break. Otherwise the grease is slowly pushed out of the gap and the force applied to the hub by the bolts is reduced. Thus further reducing the friction. Sorry for my bad english, just a 4th semester engeneering student from germany.

Hi pal is it oky just to put grease on the spacers and not the wheel hub?and does the grease have to be copper grease,i have some normal automotive grease can i use that onley on spacers?thanks in advance.
@Brunskop3 жыл бұрын
@@naz.tanzeem5982 No you shouldn't use any grease on these parts, the whole connection has to be clear of any grease to ensure friction between the parts. If you want to prevent seizing of the parts, just brush them really good with a steel brush to remove all the rust ant tighten with the appropriate torque.

The spacers provide a definite cosmetic improvement in, my opinion, anyway. But you mentioned nothing about offset considerations. And the way you reattached those wheels would make any mechanic or engineer cringe.
