Cengiz T many thanks for the useful video. VW...Whats the idea behind the two screws on the underside. A method by a design engineer to increase the complexity of getting the air filter out so there by having to take the car to a garage. Why not have a padlock on it so only a trained VW mechanic can change the poxy air filter. I wonder how many people have snapped the four plastic catches trying to get the filter out not knowing about the two hidden screws. If the design necessitated the two screws, why not put them on bloody top of the air filter box

Question to all of you guys watching this video: Why not get rid of those two underside screws completely? Do they serve any purpose at all, since you got those four plastic latches anyways?

I guess they are there incase of an light accident, to stop the air filter housing from opening and letting all kinds of dust and broken parts into the engine.

Bir hava filtresini değiştirmek bu kadar zor olmamalı, kelepçe sökmek takmak filan..Seat leon kullanıyorum sadece 5 yıldız vida ile kapak sökülüp filtre değiştiriliyor.

1.6 tdi daha basit. Sadece vidalari sokuyorsun ve akünün önünde. Bu hava filtresi tam saçmalık. İki vida yuzunden heryer sökülüyor kolay ama gereksiz. Tdi den tsi ye gecen birisi olarak :)

Alakasız saçma sapan mühendislik ya. Bir basit hava filtresi değiştirmek böyle zor olmamalı pes. Vw golf 7.5 var bende de. Daha önce Renault Honda araçlarım oldu. Onlarda acayip kolaydı. Rezalet bir durum bu.
