Hey GenerationGapGaming just wanted to say how much I’ve enjoyed your channel. As a kid growing up in the 80s and 90s I was a NES then a SEGA kid I still love those two systems my two favorite consoles of all time. My favorite sega game as a kid was greatest heavyweights not sure if you’ve ever played or done a video on that one but it’s a great boxing game. But thanks for all of your great content in these stressful times we live in it’s so nice to get nostalgic for the most classic greatest games of all time watching your videos are a great stress reliever.

Comment? I'l give ya a comment alright! Thanks for making this because I've been working slowly over the years on Wikipedia's article for it and you prompted me to add two more citations. I cited Mario Mania: Nintendo Player's Guide and the Ossan interview. Also uhh no, those aren't two people named Mario and Ossan, they're obviously two incarnations of Mario lol. Such is the efficiency of Iwata's programming. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golf_(1984_video_game)

YES!!!!! Another new review. I love this guy. I liked the Nes Golf game. Did you know Golf is on Nintendo Switch? There's a little trick you need to do and you can get it to appear but only if your console hasn't been updated it has to be an old Nintendo switch.

Double Dribble, Golf, Baseball, Soccer, Volleyball, Ice Hockey, Blades of Steel, Punch Out, Pro Wrestling, etc. my pop loved Top Gun and he was the only one that could land the plane. lol Yeah my Pop loved sports video games especially on the NES. I always have great fond memories of this console plus my Dad played with us. He is awesome! My Pop used to have a paper chart for playoffs on our teams etc. for championships on every NES video game and we'd play till we got tired or just lost. My Dad made video games an event and it was fun until our Mom had to tell us to cut it since we'd all play till late at night and over and over again. lol Still great fond memories. My NES came bundled with Golf and RC Pro Am. I later learned that this "sports set" was Canada exclusive.

Very cool Brad. Never heard of that combo. Man I love RC Pro Am.

@@GenerationGapGaming Thank you! As an aspiring voice-over artist myself, I love hearing the background music and graphics you use. You put depth and substance into the games you talk about. Rock on Tyler. October 18th 1985 was my 6th birthday! Little did I know of the Golf release. Lol. Hello from Davenport, Iowa.

I remember playing this and the baseball one.. great vídeo... By the way the baseball game had a glitch whenever you was the pitcher you throw to second base without anyone being there and you give the opposite team an out
@GenerationGapGaming4 жыл бұрын
Yeah that baseball glitch was nuts lol

Golf was the perfect nail in the coffin for dads to justify buying the game console for their kids. It's the game of a sport that they like.

Very awesome video Tyler. Maybe you can do one of the games from the Wizards & Warriors series

This was so well done! I to this day have never played the game. My first golf game was Mario Golf 64 followed by the Tiger Woods series on playstation. How the heck did you learn about Captain Rainbow? That is some awesome detective work!
@GenerationGapGaming4 жыл бұрын
Dude I love Mario Golf too. I played a few of the early Tiger Woods games too and I loved them. I thought the Captain Rainbow subject was fascinating. Very cool game concept in general to where you can interact with a lot of "one hit wonder" characters from Nintendo games.

The thing that blows my mind about this game is that there are people out there that have posted speedrun videos. The slowest most chill title on the console has speed runs.
@GenerationGapGaming4 жыл бұрын
I know right lol. The speedruns are quite impressive too.

I had this title, but my father was not a golfer and didn't watch it on TV. lol I had this title because a cousin gave it to me because I liked it so much while at her house playing it. Also, I must be one of the very few who is so glad that modern games have the option to turn off the music because it gets on my nerves. I never even thought about their not being music in Golf, but as an adult, it makes sense (concentration is supposedly more important for hitting a ball that isn't moving than in any other sport lol).

I didnt have the NES Golf game but I did have the Game Boy Golf game and I played the heck out if it. The only black box sports title I had was Tennis which I also played a lot but could never beat the computer in the highest level.
