Aaron, We came across this video today and do want to say thank you for the support! We did however, notice many flaws while you were both installing and would like to point them out so you can correct them and to also make it known to the public so that there is no misunderstanding. This is simply installation error and not a product engineering error. 1. Upper Hatch Bracket: We have designed this kit in order for it to be the least intrusive approach that will not leave you with any irreversible damage if one decides to remove the product in the future (other than the four holes in the hatch skin that can be color match plugged or filled at a later date). As long as the bracket is installed in the appropriate position and the attachment points to the uprights are lose, stated within the install guide, a ball end hex wrench will work as it should. The Spoiler that was trimmed is close to a $600 OEM unit if one were to replace. If the owner now decides to revert back to stock, he will no longer be able to reinstall the factory third brake light. 2. Uprights are on incorrect sides: We noticed the uprights are not installed on the correct sides. There are "Right" and "Left" uprights where the M10 Counterbore, Logo, and pocket recess should be facing the outside. The head of your M10 bolt sits inside the counterbore while the M10 washer and locknut fasten on the inside. 3. Endplates are on incorrect sides: The endplates are installed backwards. There is also a "Left" and "Right" endplate. The pivot hole needs to be towards the trailing edge of the wing element while the adjustment slot is towards the leading edge. For the Airfoil to function most efficiently, this does need to be changed. Do make sure that your end plate AoA matches your wing elements AoA. 4. Appropriate tools: After seeing the uprights being fastened with an impact driver and a pair of pliers to hold the M10 nut, we do believe that the lack of correct tools could of contributed to your challenging install. Summed up, if the installation guide is followed correctly and the tools listed are readily available, this install will not have any hiccups nor the need to modify anything in order overcome errors. We have installed many kits both pre and post release to the public without any complications. Please feel free to reach out to our support team if you have any questions making these adjustments, we are here to help! support@aerofabb.com

Thank you for the very detailed response!! We will look over our install and switch around what we can! Only part that does still confuse me is mounting inside the third brake light slot: we attempted sockets, swivels, even a screw driver and could not find anything thin enough to reach the mounting screws, which is why we eventually just cut the plastic out of the way. Thank you for also including very detailed instructions on your site! It was very nice to go step by step, however it does sound like we skipped a couple of parts. Overall, the wing is VERY sturdy and we can move the entire car when pushing on it. Absolutely crazy good quality!

@@AaronTheBaron Absolutely! If the upper hatch bracket rivnuts are installed in the correct position IE: Not too high or too low, you are able to use a ball end hex wrench. You should be able to find this entire video helpful as our friends at Badge Skins did a really great job. You can also just skip to 17:12 to see the upper hatch bracket portion kzbin.info/www/bejne/oIS4eaKFhN2DgNU We are thrilled that you are impressed with the overall quality! We put a lot of time into not only designing these products but manufacturing them to specific standards. Proper install guides should always be included with any part.

Thank you! We may have drilled the rivnuts a little too high or low, that's a fair point! Either way, it's on and insanely sturdy and luckily my friend has no intent of removing it any time soon. I've owned a BattleAero product and it was nothing near as solid as this one, so again, bravo!
