Brandel Chamblee identified in his 2016 book The Anatomy of Greatness, that 48 of the most successful players of all time raised their lead heel! Brian (ES Founder) had success with thousands of golfers and multiple coaches with this too. Glad you are joining in!. It just amazes me how and why it became so outlawed.

I went to the range the other day. And the 60+ year old gentleman beside me was hitting it just as far as I was. With no effort. And a 12 year old driver. I'm definitely swaying. And or doing something wrong in my swing. Lessons are needed.

Thank you for a clear, helpful video. You make golf look so easy. With a driver swing speed of just 65 m.p.h. I have to accept a total distance of around 160 yards. The good thing is it usually is on the fairway. Philip nearly doubles my distance with such an easy swing. The positive thing is I am still playing golf age 80 years old. Next year I am thinking of joining a shorter course with only two par 5 holes. Fairway woods usually go around 130 yards total distance. I like Philip's easy going ,informative presentation.

Thanks Alan the important thing is to keep playing! I hope that some of what is in our videos can rub off and give you a few more yards but it sounds like you are getting plenty of pleasure from your golf and that is far more important than a few yards off the tee!! I started playing last year (62 years old) and subscribed to the theory of keeping the lead foot planted. Cue sore knee ligaments and a tear in a ligament in my lead foot. Found the ES on youtube, bought the book, and implemented the same. Knees much better and lead foot close to 100%. Still struggle with slices, chunks etc etc but I'm doing itvalmostbpain free 👍

Hi Mick thanks for sharing this I’m so glad ES is helping you play pain free and helping you create effortless power. Worth checking how much you turn your lead foot out at address (if it is too straight it can cause unnecessary strain on the knee joint) for someone with your ailments I would often recommend a 45° angle of that foot it can make a huge difference to your follow through and make it pain free.

Thank you Easiest Swing Team, I just started to play golf again a few months ago after a 20 year break and after my resent first 8 rounds I wondered why I thought I could play this sport again as I felt frustrated, exhausted after 18 holes and my score was disappointing along with my wallet being lighter after replacing many lost golf balls. Then I found your channel, watched your videos, read Brians book and since then, have played 4 rounds so far and my confidence, score/round has improved 200%, and I am enjoying this game for the first time with "effortless power". Yes, I do have bad shots, definitely not as many and some of the people I play with tell me to "keep my head down", and I thank them for their advice, but instead I remember your philosophy to briefly analyze what I did and move onto the next, and I hit a great shot and my confidence level is back up ready to go. Oh.....so far I have only lost 6 golf balls for the past 4 rounds and I my score has been just over and 2 rounds under 100 for the first time, that is a win in my book. Thank you again for sharing the Easiest Swing way of playing golf.

I understand rotation, but your sternum/spine move off off centered setup 4-5 inches. When you move like this you have to move back the same amount which requires timing to get back to center. If not timed you hit fat or thin. I agree it's not a sway, but it is a move off your core to the right during BS. How do you explain this?
@philipsparks8315
@philipsparks8315 9 ай бұрын
Hi Max, I believe this is one of the most misunderstood factors about turn/rotation - if you consider what part of our body we want to rotate around, focus on a point that is on the swing plane and is near the centre of the plane - you realise the head is nowhere near this point now you start to understand it is ok for the head to move in a similar fashion, just think, so many other body parts also move around this centre. Take a look at this video where I explain it in some more detail. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aauumXeEn7qhbLssi=vM1c8SCkorstq-Ln I am just finishing a new book co-authored by Brian (founder) and me, in which there is a much more detailed explanation. It will be available in a few weeks’ time. I promise you, once you release yourself from the belief that the head needs to stay still, the game becomes massively easier!
@philipsparks8315
@philipsparks8315 9 ай бұрын
May I just add that the point I rotate around is around my spine near the shoulder blades. So you are right your sternum (and head) have to also make a small rotation around that area.

Bernhard Langer demonstrates😊 a huge head turn on the backswing. In a slow motion clip of his swing it looks like he can’t even see the ball at the top of at his backswing at least his right eye appears to be focused several feet in back of the ball. If it works for him all us senior golfers should be copying it.

Been keenly following your videos recently and also bought the book, which I’m currently reading. I’m working on reducing tension in my swing and it’s working well for my irons and hybrids. However, with my driver I’m consistently leaving the face open and leaking shots to the right. It’s only with the driver, so wondering if you have any thoughts or advice. P.s. my swing path on Foresight is in to out and generally around 2 deg up. Thanks
@philipsparks8315
@philipsparks8315 8 ай бұрын
Hi Allan just a question for you - with a driver how long do you want the clubface square to the target? 1) for as long as possible 2) about 12” 3) it is closing as it gets there and closes immediately after impact. If you answer this I’ll help you to cure your fade with a driver.
@allanpayne9715
@allanpayne9715 8 ай бұрын
@@philipsparks8315 thank you for your reply. I would like it square or slightly closed at impact an then moving inside on the natural arc to the finish. I’ve been working on the concept of the full follow through being my only swing thought. My timing on my irons and hybrids, using this concept has been very good on the last few rounds. It was only my driver face I was leaving open, according to Foresight a fade resulting. This has been helped by fitting a switchgrip on my driver and adding a 20 gm counterweight in the grip.

Very good video again Phillip . I have one question , at the completion of the back turn , do you feel that your weight is in your right heel or at the outside of your right foot ( or none of the above)?
@philipsparks8315
@philipsparks8315 8 ай бұрын
Hi good question - I feel my weight travels in connection with my rotation and ultimately ends up around my right heel. The main thing to focus on is good balance as the weight transfers in that direction. But if you note the difference between the swing with my arms out wide and the full rotation and the one where I sway (ie sliding motion) there is a great deal more stability with the proper turn than when there is lateral movement that lacks turn. You will often see this cause the right foot to roll over in the backswing when players get this wrong.

Can you lift your heel on wedge shots?
@Easiestswing
@Easiestswing 8 ай бұрын
I’d say that’s ok with a full wedge but less so on smaller ones. Just be cautious, the heel should rise in response to the turn of the body rather than be lifted independently therefore the less turn (on smaller swings) the less the heel rises.

What happens when all your lumber spine has been fused please
@philipsparks8315
@philipsparks8315 9 ай бұрын
This is one of the most significant elements of Easiest Swing, in the respect of the reduced strain on the spine. I actually have four fused vertebrae myself in my cervical spine and we have many many followers including our founder Brian himself who had fused lower vertebrae too, who have been able to continue golf, pain free, due to the reduced strain on the spine. Whereas nearly all other systems INCREASE stress on the spine! We have a new book coming out soon which covers this very point. Keep an eye out on our website for a release date around the end of the year. Hope this is all helpful and keeps you pain free!
