Hmm…I’ve been trying to get that LOP release but am more of a one plane downswing move. Now I kind of understand why it’s so hard. Thanks for sharing!

I've been for years trying to understand Jim Hardy's One Plane mechanics. I'm One Planer for sure, and the moves were instinctive to me, but now I understand why. Well done. Jared, at 6:14 you drop right arm and say master the timing. Timing to what? To the forward bump at the beginning. Thanks Jared. Gus (PS: RIT at 5:26)

The timing of the release or throw.

Very happy to have youtube recommend this series and ty for your insight and that you covered the hybrid model. Love the way you have organised your videos, have subbed. Would like to hear your thoughts on how Hogan fits into this. Obviously one plane backswing L arm but 2 plane with his hands in that they are above the shoulders in a vertical position. His backswing is also a 2 part around then up motion. His release from my eyes especially in the Pepe Cano 1953 video where he does pitches, we can clearly see he rolls through impact. Exactly what Hogan demonstrates in his slow mo concentration drills. In his famous Shell lesson he demonstrates LOP in the downswing. His extended follow through with late recock till p8 does seem RIT. Lastly, Im wondering, if Hogan did employ RIT, its very unlikely he would face low hooks and there wouldnt need his secret cupped wrist as a solution, nor would the cupped wrist work as a solution. Plus would RIT allow him to be the shot maker that he was? Could Hogan be a hybrid 1-2 plane with LOP ? Just curious and thinking out loud

I would say Hogans feel vs real might have been different. If his starting shaft plane and impact shat plane match then I would say he was a 1 and RIT. He just let his hand roll a little after impact, so do most.

@@JaredDanfordGolf very interesting, RIT with a roll. I can do RIT but struggle with speed or flow right after impact with it, for LOP I get the flow but have inconsistent face control + hands getting way too high at impact. Was viewing DTL slow motion of John Daly and his LOP looking release looks so natural to me. I think with LOP i'm missing the outwards move of the hands coming down that you highlighted. lots to work on. Thanks Jared! btw love your derpy German Shepherd looking forward to see more of him.

@@77bovi thanks. I think the roll after is fine to a point. Most of us don’t have the flexibility as hogan and many pros.

Very good series 👍 Do you need fast body rotation to get speed with one plane swing?
@JaredDanfordGolf2 жыл бұрын
It’s not required but the faster the further the ball goes. Rory is a good example.

@@JaredDanfordGolf Thank you for your answer 👍 I was just watching tv and Rory at BMW championchip. That sure is fast move ⚡💪

Any recommendations on how to practice/improve ball stricking for LOP?
@JaredDanfordGolf3 жыл бұрын
Work at the range on moving the ball. Draw then fade. You will need good face control to play your best.

At endu said can't have lop with 2 plane. Good video

LOP stands for left outward "pull" of the left arm on the downswing. Not "push". Good video and I like the drills. 👍
@JaredDanfordGolf3 жыл бұрын
Is should be push. 😁 thanks for watching

I have the book. Jim definitely defines lop as left arm pull, not push.

@@Somersetinla I misspoke. How would a right handed golf push down with the left arm. Of course it’s a pull. Thanks for watching
