Thanks for the 'Ah Ha' moment Glen 👍. I've always wondered why the conventional theory of ball flight from a ball above/below the feet lie, never seemed to apply to me. I thought (as we've been schooled) that the differences were, in large part, due to a flattening of the swing plane (ball above) vs a steepening of it (ball below), and hence basically opposites. But when I allow for a fade when the ball is below my feet, I always hit it left. I thought I must be doing something radically different/wrong in my swing, so I kept trying to do it 'correctly' and kept getting the same outcome. I know, I know "insanity is ...". But now I have 'permission' to buck-the-conventional 'wisdom' and hit more greens. Thank you 😁.

So glad to help Rufus. You’re definitely not alone! We hear this all the time, ‘Why doesn’t it fade?’. Cheers 🙏

@@AussieGolfPros I played yesterday and found myself with a ball below my feet lie for an approach shot. I thought " just aim straight today" and I did. The ball flew high and straight ... into the left-side bunker 😟. At least it wasn't in the trees left of the rough left of the left bunker 🤣.

Hi Glen, Thanks for the great demonstration for proper technique on these lies. The magnetic tool was a great visual of the effect on the club face.

Excellent explanation Glen on how to play uneven lies! It was an interesting point that you made with the magnetic pointer on the wedge. I have always played it the way you illustrated, but never thought about it. Also interesting, was the uphill shot of which I am presented each week on #9 hole. After seeing your recommendation, I now know how to better hit the shot. Thanks For All Of Your Help Glen! Always Look Forward To Your Input!

hi Glen, another great video, thought I had my slope shots all sorted, but not now, as I've learned a lot today, thanks. One question if I can, playing my second shot on the 18th at Monash, I have the ball well above my feet on an uphill lie, factors all asking for a big draw !! But I have tall trees on the right, which just don't allow for me to aim right with a draw ? Suggestions ??

Thank you for your question Thomas. That’s certainly a challenging shot from that hill on the right side of 18 at Monash. I have 3 ideas for you, none of them straight forward: 1. Don’t hit it there, that’s a course management error. The goal off the tee is to find a flatter lie on the left side. 2. Beef up! A powerful hitter can hit a high draw over those trees! 3. Hit a fade around them. Definitely not easy from that lie, so the ‘slice’ needs to be exaggerated. Tip: use less loft to make it easier to fade. I look forward to hearing how you go. Cheers Glen
