making everything that much more expensive is the weirdest business decision i’ve seen in a while lol. genuinely curious to know how they thought that was smart. like who do they expect to spend $9 on a single course. very strange and disappointing to see

I fr cannot believe they’re marking up courses that have *already* been released. Whoever is making the corporate decisions right now is completely out of touch. I participated in the dev team’s research for accessibility in their game because of a few personal issues lmao but those devs were so great and super understanding! I hope those devs aren’t the ones getting targeted by the (justified) backlash; it’s whoever’s in charge of the finances that are the assholes.

I've loosely followed the GWYF Discord since the Blacklight Interactive brothers stepped aside. Seems there has been considerable turnover, especially for GWYF positions. Heck the game sat dormant for well over a year in there, too. Whole thing's weird and out of touch, like you said. Though, with the accessibility research, that might actually be the first kind words I've read about Team17's involvement, so I hope whomever you interacted with is doing well. That's great to hear. Maybe the new team could turn things around, but a $9 course would hamstring them so hard. Who knows..

@@Ghostzapper oh jeez, I hadn’t heard about all of the turnover and other issues. I just can’t see how they can reasonably except a $9 course to make more than a $3 with all of the sales they’re losing from people who aren’t going to buy in :/

Yeesh for a single map those arent cheap prices. Better yet have them buyable in a bundle or just make a sequel

Oh don't worry this is team17 we're talking about, once the original game is milked to completion there will absolutely be further attempts, like a sequel, to milk the IP further.

A real shame. These last couple courses have been great, too. The best courses they've made. In my opinion, of course.

Luckely i bought every map before the update, but i also bought the new map altought it ist very expensive (i payed 10.49 CHF in switzerland) its the best map ive played in this game.

Its like supercell with clash Royale. They dont care that the average players wont buy it, they are banking on the creators that 1000% will buy it for the content. Its extremely annoying that they do this, but it works. Even better than just making them really cheap.
