Firstly Thank you Golf Channel for posting this worldwide via this platform, Its enjoyable to watch and enjoyed the episode. There were some excellent designs. Rick was spot on with his neutral reviews as always and was cool sitting with JR a legend of Hockey. imo The infinity sign design with tweaks could be a front runner. Loved the twist at the end where teams could be brought together. Can't wait for episode 2 ^_^ again Thank you all :)

It seems wilson want a pretty driver that looks good on the stand. Internal mechanics is a marketing piece, look at Callaway and the Jailbreak technology - even external mechanics, the average joe won't see/notice the Twist Face on the TaylorMade M3/M4 drivers, yet because of their marketing abilities every golfer has a boner for this "tech"

I just dont understand why they do not let air tribune and fin design to be tested and see if it actually is an innovation or not I dont think any of the judges including Rick is an aerospace engineer . The amount of air intake on a small head traveling 120 mph is equal to a formula car driving 100 meters. So it doesnt matter how short you think the amount of time to hit a golf ball is . It is more than enough speed and mass to get effected by the airflow... Just let the Wilson test it with a small wind tunnel or driver Robot... These kind of ideas do not come by all the time ;)
@jabyers4 жыл бұрын
true, 100mph plus will create plenty of force, testing would seem sensible

Nice first episode. Interesting content and the judges offer enough charisma to carry the program. Still think it's a bit weird seeing the guy who gave me a great golf lesson on a TV show like this (now sporting the beard!).

Hi, as drivers are limited to a certain distance the only aspect that can improve is forgiveness, I would love to see a driver that tells me about my swing path, contact point, speed etc, when I practice but can then be used on the course, ie a driver with GCQuad info feedback.

Really enjoyed episode 1, hopefully here in the UK we will get chance to see the other instalments. Calling a new Driver design "No Sex" perhaps wasn't the wisest decision! I think the geeky Kid will win, bet they call his Driver the "Tribe"!!!!!!!!

must say i'm really not a fan of the editing style, far too jumpy, feels like i'm not focusing on anything for more than 2 seconds, other than that i'm a huge fan of the show, good stuff x

The bottom line is guys whatever they come up with you’ll still hit the same types of shots. Spend the money on educating you and what has to change with you then you’ll get somewhere! 🙂🤘
@omarkhan95156 жыл бұрын
All drivers are the same, just go by a second hand TItliets, Ping or Callaway or whatever nothing will make you hit more fairways then the person holding the Club.

Seems like many of the designers have no idea about the principles of what makes a good driver. Other look like they are in breech of USGA dosing rules and some might infringe existing patents.

I'm not a fan of the LED lighting you have used for the close up personal interviews. It is creating a weird black box reflection in the pupils of the person being interviewed. Lighting should be points of light, not distracting shapes.
@pcbmastbbxq6 жыл бұрын
don't get why everyone's saying there design helps with control and forgiveness.... you want control? you want accuracy? GET GOLF LESSONS. all I look for in a driver is distance because at the end of the day no tech will stop you from missing fairways more than a good swing.
@5wisher5weet6 жыл бұрын
Here everyone is trying to remove weight from the crown and add it to the sole...Peter Dreyfus is going the totally opposite direction. Major fail unfortunately, and how will it sit at address? Sarah’s idea isn’t good either...more weight down the bottom, nobody wants to look at the crown with a bunch of gimmicks on it. How is the bowling guys fin going to work without a shaft that can easily twist at the tip end?
