It's not one year passed since Bernhard Langer had a torned Achilles tendon. He is 67 years old and got some yards from the front tees. But, how often his drives were used? I see him making the shot to the green after his son's attempt from 50 yards more than Charlie Woods did. And Bernhards shot was the closest one! If someone has a problem with the shorter tees Bernhard got, then he also should ask why a long hitting teenager gets 25 yards shorter tees. Accepting this is a question of sportsmanship, something both teams showed, but not the commenting crowd in total.

To all the haters: there’s a reason why seniors get to play off the senior tees. And golf is not just about driving. Jason as an amateur had to keep his cool under pressure playing against Tiger and Charlie. And the long putter is legal, as is using the better lie in a scramble. Just recognize the incredible performance needed to pull this off against Tiger Woods and his son, who were both shooting the lights out. The Langers deserve this and showed great sportsmanship in victory, as did the Woods in defeat.

Exactly, Tiger will one day hit from the Senior Tees, too. It was not the Tee shots that won it for the Langers. Often times, the Woods were closer to the green for approach shots.

It was a very gracious speech and the Langers are a class act. Still, a 188 yd approach shot is completely different than a 207 yd approach and a 180 yd approach is completely different than a 204 yd approach. NBC shouldn't have shown Bernhard's very, very long walk up to the front tees on the two playoffs on 18. Can we be honest and say if the playoff was on 17 the outcome would almost certainly have been different? Why was the playoff on a hole with (I think) the biggest difference in the tee box distances? Edit: and the Woods' are a gracious class act for not even hinting at this valid point in their post playoff interviews.

well you are allowed to place (literally place) the ball within one club length, he didn't create the lie in the bunker, it was there, tiger did similar in the fairway, every one did. every one has that same opportunity. i think the 80 yard closer tee on 18 even though he's over 65 years old was a bit much. charlie piped his drive where jason also teed from and bernie was still nearly 25 yards closer to the green. but that's the format. having said that bernie definitely made the best of his situation in the bunker, maybe not a great look, but well within the rules

Tiger's legend is solidified even if he never wins anything again. He's one of, if not the best to ever play the game, and he was able to win over the course of multiple decades. he will certainly live with a few regrets of how it all went, but we're all human. Tiger is still an alpha and ultra competitor. i wouldn't be surprised to see him win again on tour but it's all bonus golf from here on out. i feel like he's almost ready to retire and enjoy watching/coaching his son to greatness. you, on the other hand, will still be a sad internet troll who couldn't even beat the high handicappers at a local club

they missed several key putts but it was a great day. i dont think they'll lose sleep.
