"You can win in life without winning!" Is an awesome and very true statement from Scott. Truly shows he has no regrets concerning the game against Woods and his short career on the PGA Tour.

Steve reminding Tiger to put his mark back to its original spot is one of the top 5 acts of sportsmanship I've ever seen. Wonder how many guys would have let him play from wrong spot and took the AM title.
@richdiana36635 жыл бұрын
Eventually Tiger left his mark on alot of waitresses.
@winstonsmith115 жыл бұрын
Probably not many. Golf is a gentleman's game. It's why I love it so much. As Steve said, win the match with your clubs. Anyone who'd handle that any differently is missing out on what golf is all about.

Steve Scott, you are a true gentleman and a great competitor. You define sportsmanship, honesty, resilience, and all the qualities we strive for in golf and in life. Your defining moment was being a true competitor and gentleman and telling tiger about his marker, proving golf is a gentleman's game. being remembered as a gentleman is pretty damn good. See you in the short grass, brother.

I remember watching this U.S. Amateur Final. Steve Scott was one cool customer, and he battled Woods all the way to the end. This mini-documentary did a nice job of capturing the feel of that match from the perspective of both competitors. And it really is cool to see that Scott has gone on to have a happy and successful life, both professionally and personally. Equally great to see that Kristy has been at his side the whole time.

Maybe even go head to head with TW’s son Charlie and both become the then BIG 3 along with JOHN DALY’s son...who knows,GOD works in mysterious ways. "Anybody can be a husband or a father, but there are only five people in the world who can do what I do, so I focus on that." - James Cameron. Steve is just another average Joe with a house a wife and a dog. Tiger is unique. He's set himself for life, broken dozens of records, earned a spot in history and most importantly he didn't just follow the same generic life formula people like you swear by. He blazed his own trail. I'll take Tiger's life any day.
@goaliebros5 жыл бұрын
Tom Smith enjoy a life of regret when you’re 70 and retired, alone in your mansion with no wife, explaining to your kids why you can’t have Christmas together. But hey at least you got those green jackets.
@myronalexander30545 жыл бұрын
@@goaliebros that'd actually make a lovely retirement. Who needs a wife when you got Green Jackets !
@wittenberg55 жыл бұрын
You talk a lot about mansions and trophies and Christmas with the kids. You don't understand what it is all about. How many of us know what it is to become the best version of ourselves at something? Tiger Woods did that. He stood to his fullest height and achieved his greatest potential, he charted his own path and wrote his name in history. That's worth far more than making a baby. News flash: even cows, roaches and flies can reproduce! What separates humans is our imagination, but there is nothing imaginative about living an ordinary life. None of this will register with you though. You'll keep patterning your life and behavior off of everyone else. So go ahead. Enjoy your cookie cutter life. And don't forget to pick up the milk on the way home from work!
