Here we go for the back 9 holes from the Grand Del Mar Golf Club in San Diego CA. Paris & Claire are down a few shots in a golf match that they are highly favored to win. Misa has been taking lessons from her Teaching Pro sister and it's really paying off that is if Maiya is charging her..lol. This could be the UPSET of the year if Paris & Claire don't stop the bleeding. Some good smack talking from Claire just might be enough to get into their heads.

Love the match! Was biting my nail on 17 and 18 holes when Claire and Paris putted! Looking forward to the rematch! Claire is the cheeky one and Paris the Pro (never buckled under pressure) and sealed the win with the birdie putt. And......Alisa, the lovely commentator! Thanks Golfholics for another fabulous Ladies MatchPlay match starring Paris, Claire, Misa and Maiya with Alisa doing the color commentary and Mike on the camera. Thanks for adding the golf ball graphics on the greens Mike. Paris struggled on the back nine. She chunked shots that she usually hits perfectly and she was so unlucky with her puts, Four were near misses. If they had dropped she would have been three or four under par. Claire is getting better and better. I am expecting great things from here in the next couple of years. Maiya is Maiya, solid and consistent. She got burned on several puts just like Paris. She probably would have been four under if all those near misses dropped in the hole. Misa deserves a few strokes per match. She's not yet a scratch golfer but she is doing very well. She's definitely showing signs of improvement in all aspects of her game. One of the great things about Alisa is that she does run any of ladies down when they get in trouble. She just tells the unvarnished truth in her charming way.

That's why golf is so tough...way too many variables involved and any one of them can change the course, so to speak. Great match, at the 19:00 mark you could still see hope but also...??...there you are and we have all been there in some way before eh? Then the finishing hole. Maybe after the fact or some time before their next match we could have a player perspective on this match, like how they each felt being 2 down and what they were thinking, how they felt and what they were thinking being 2 up, did the smack talk come into play, how did it effect them. I'm talking too much.This was fun to watch everyone, thank you.

Paris & Claire are interviewed while sitting in a golf cart. "You're two down. What's your plan?" "We'll do this. We'll do that." Then, Paris hits a wedge into a sandtrap which is short and to the left of the green. Next, Claire hits a pretty wedge that is 20 yards short of the green. Peter Finch, "the king of flag bound, 10 yards short of the green wedge shots", could not have done any worse. Oh, and then, Paris & Claire win when Paris drains a 20-foot putt on the 18th hole. In between was lots of video of pretty women with hot thighs wearing short skirts.

Team Tanaka definitely had the edge in the short game. I think Claire and Paris left their approach shots in more difficult positions on a number of holes which just makes the up and down more challenging. Greens looked pretty fast as well.
