Just so you know, the ProV1x is a higher launch and HIGHER spin ball compared to the ProV1. The 23' models, both balls are a little closer in spin but the statement I previously said is true.

Hi Gen, I had a custom fit with Titliest performance centre at Woburn Golf Club in the UK and its was 3 hours long and they gapped me for wedges irons and woods. They also recommended the ball to use. They recommended a pro-v1 ball for summer conditions and pro-v1x for colder conditions. You should fly over and try this service. There is a 2 month waiting list but its so worth it, and they go through the whole bag.

The ball will make a huge difference for specific players. I would highly suggest to get a ball fitting (with the whole bag incl putter). Buut, pleease, take balls within your budget. If you have to think about how much that golfball is, you wont be able to hit it. The feel and the spin number should roughly be within a good window. Now that you only use t hat ball, you will have more constant ball flights. Annd, if you go to a fitting, bring your own ball! For the Range the ball doenst matter that much because You work on your delivery/speed/contact/... Everything what happens after the ball contact doesnt matter :) And btw, great video. I might have liked to know what shafts/lofts you are using, but that might be too nerdy :)

This is super helpful for someone like me who doesn't have all of my gapping figured out yet. Thanks!! So much good detail, especially for the wedges which is confusing and daunting to figure out personally.
@hkp9257 Жыл бұрын
If you have an somehow constant swing, get a gapping session with your local pro. Let them also check the loft/lie of all the clubs. If you have an gap or a club that always goes left/right, they might be able to adjust that with bending a club. But just to know how far you will hit your golf ball, is a huge benefit to your game. Its hard enough to take wind, the lie of the ball, type of gras and the slope of the underground in consideration :)

Hi, I enjoy watching your golf swing and I am thinking to myself that I am lucky enough to have opportunity to learn how to play golf about 3 years ago. I really enjoy the game but it is quite a challenge to hit all variety shots and using all the clubs.. The past month I visited Kuala lumpur I stayed on apartments with the pool on top I noticed that I can see the huge golf courses I just wonder this must be one of them that you played and made the video here ! I took the whole month to visit 3 countries Singapore, Malaysia, and Bali Indonesia. At the moment I am writing this I still feel the jet lag and the time zone. @rayfreeman2305 Жыл бұрын
I had been playing a Driver, 3W and 5W but the consistency was not that great. The pro at the shop I deal with said I should drop the 3W and get a 7W so now I have Driver, 5W and 7W and my game has improved dramatically. I am 83 so his comment to me was "if you are not reaching the longer par 4's with the 3W second shot why do you have it in your bag" because in his opinion the 3W is the hardest club in the bag to be consistent with for most people unless their handicap is less than 10. He was so right, and now because of the higher confidence level I am hitting my 5W about the same distance as I used to hit my 3W. For example on the par 3's that I used to use my 3W on I now use the 5W and am doing just as well.
@midlifebiker7424 Жыл бұрын
@@rayfreeman2305 7Ws are becoming popular Ray. Have you tried rescue/Hybrids? Not that you need to change as sounds like you have what you need. The 2 courses I play are very different, one is links and the other parklands. The rescue goes better on the links surface and flight stays lower into more windy conditions. The woods are ok on the parklands course as the ball sits up more on the fairways, however I only use it twice in a round and can get away with the rescue. Find what fits and practice. I did drop the driver for the 3W for a few rounds as an experiment but it was less accurate so back to driver. Cheers from Oz..

I have Cobra single length irons 5-Gap with senior flex shafts. I need to replace my 4 hybrid with a 7-wood. I need to get my 5-wood with a flex shaft consistent with my Taylormade driver and 3wood. I also need a longer shafted sand wedge consistent with the rest of my irons. I have two Dunlap putters which I switch out. Hopefully I will get back out as my vision has improved to 20--40 corrected with lenses. My depth of field is really bad, so I need to stay out of bunkers since I'm not allowed to ground the club. I love your blogs seeing you manage your game and wish I could play with you not because of my struggling game, but because I think on a good day you are capable of shooting 10 under par on some of my favorite courses. Great video and very timely for me. I just went to the range 2 days ago and captured my carry distances. I learned a lot. I hit my wedges about as expected. I was hitting everything between 7 iron and 4 iron somewhat longer than I anticipated; i.e. the gap from 8 iron to 7 iron was more than I thought. It was a goal of mine this winter to understand my carry distances more. Good luck with your new iron configuration!

For the information about range balls they fly 10-15% less compression to make the balls fly shorter and spin less, the reason is for people who hit the ball long and and make them more forgiving to work with but mostly so that the range doesn't lose that many balls, and they take less of a beating from being hit all the time.
@moonlanding-69 Жыл бұрын
The prov spin decreases ball distance off the driver. You'd benefit by playing Srixon Q-Star Titleist Tour-Soft.

Girl, you do not need to "work on your swing" or "distances." That isn't how you win golf tournaments. By the time you GET to a tournament, you should already be dialed in and not "working" on your golf swing, or distances. Your mind is wrong at tournaments if you are thinking those thoughts. At tournaments you need to be thinking about the STRATEGY of your golf, not these fundamentals of hitting and distance.
