Exactly as Matty says. Frustrated at losing balls off the tee and constantly droping and playing 3 I took my driver (And 60degree as well for that matter) out of my bag for a year and just focused on 6 iron and under. Practiced Driver only on the range. Started breaking 100 regularly using better strategies learned here. Slowly brought my driver back once I had a shot i could rely on with it. Have now broken 90 - 2 or 3 times this summer and there is still room for improvement. Thank you for bringing back the enjoyment.

Take a practice swing swiping the grass. Notice the position of the mark in the grass...in relation to your feet. If it felt good, place the ball position just before the beginning of where the mark would be in your stance. Repeat the feel of that swing.

I think I'm at the point of needing to get a lesson or two...or three or four playa. My biggest needs IMO.. 1. Driver - Striking - Consistency 2. Pitching the 80-50 yard shots 3. Course Management and Mental Game Just shot 84 (+14) today. Still looking to break 80 for the first time. Thank you for your awesome videos! You've helped me with keeping things simple within my swing and I can't wait to come back to tell you I broke 80 someday!
@GolfSidekick5 ай бұрын
Yes to get into the 70s, i would suggest getting that driver to be playable so you can use it on around 5-8 holes. Pitching 50-80 will improve your driving and Vice versa. The pro will show you fundamentals of a pitch shot which will transfer to the entire swing. You’re on the right track. But have patience

Matt I have the problem where I hit a great shot and then follow it up with a terrible shot..... I have a hard time stacking good shots, any advice? It seems to have come out of nowhere 🤷♂️
@GolfSidekick5 ай бұрын
Change your wording. I hit great shots. You are finding ways to live up to the image you create of yourself in your mind. Your ego will continue to do that. Remove the idea of hitting a bad shot and when you do hit one, accept that everyone does and it’s part of the game. Perfection is impossible
@Master...deBater5 ай бұрын
Make sure to do the same preparation for each shot regardless of the outcome of the last shot. Remember to reset after each shot...thinking only of the current shot. Forget the past...avoid thinking about future shots. Clear your mind of unnecessary garbage. If you have to correct a swing issue with a swing thought...do it before you step up to the ball. Once you've stepped up to the ball...picture the shot successfully executed several times...then hit it!
