Jay, thanks again for the informative videos! Wouldn't it be so cool if the exputt technology/device could be incorporated with a launch monitor such as the Mevo Plus or even the R10 to provide a totally accurate putting experience with sim software such as E6, etc. Mind blown!

@@DaddymackLV so a few factors here. The ball speed and launch direction feel close to if not spot on to me. But more impressively if you watch my putter in the video the club data is great. I tried to pull the one hard and cut it pushing my putter right and it read it spot on still. I think it's a great value and of course can fit about anywhere. I might try to compare ball speed and launch angle to GCQUAD if I can.

I just ordered the new EXPUTT. Question. How does the slope % work in practice mode? Can I set it to hit 2% Uphill and 1% Downhill putts? And so on?

This has a lot of potential. Amazing what they accomplish in such a small space! I’ll be interested to see if they get bought by one of the major companies and/or partner with multiple golf sim software products. Once it is refined and ties in with those, it will provide the missing link in golf sims!

Do you feel there is much difference between the core functionally of the original and the RG versions of this putting simulator or is the difference pretty well the online play?

I saw from the screen, there was a tempo display, but after your putt, it was always 0. Is this an option or it wasn't setup to measure your tempo?

Jay, do you think the new camera picks up the putter much better than the old in lower light conditions? i have the original exputt and was considering upgrading if the camera is better for this.

Yeah, seems noticeable better from my testing so far. I have only used normal room lighting and it has not missed club data once as you can see it in the video.

You said it needed the camera to be 2 feet off the ground. At that peice point, you would think the tripod would give the required height.

I don't disagree. This would a piece of feedback I planned on sharing with them. No reason for it not to be the minimum height required. Nice part is it's a standard tripod mount so you can use anything but it should just be the minimum required for sure.

Can the camera be behind you? I'm imaging putting towards a larger room with something in my room marking 10 feet, 15 feet so I can train my brain for what the distance LOOKS like, but camera being in front might be in the way?

@@mackenziecook2119 yeah I don’t think it being up is as much of a deal as it just being space the way, but yes you can put it on top of the TV that is very common. The unit rotates on the end so you can point the camera at the mat.

That's a great question. I have not tested it. I know even GCQuad can struggle with that face. I would have to test it and see. But the ball data would be fine regardless.

It should, my original Exputt picks up the face on my White Hot every time.

You just won't get the putter data. But works fine and you get full ball data.

Looks interesting overall with some minor shortcomings. A bit dumb that the device needs to be two feet off the ground but the tripod is only 12 inches high. Also, the website has very little information. If I could browse the list of courses offered, and at least one of the courses that I play regularly was available, that'd be a strong enough reason for me to purchase this device.

Apart from the new putting courses doesn’t seem to be any different from previous version, analysis section seems the same which is main function of the device, I find playing the courses not worthwhile so I do not think I’ll upgrade.

I've watched your EXPUTT RG video. Thank you! I have questions, though. What is the sd card slot for? What kind of sd card does it take? How do the analysis functions work? Can you save sessions? If so, how? How do you clean the mat? They could add more info on how to use the software and sd slot. It's not in the manual. They told me I can save sessions in practice mode. Once you hit Analysis on the practice menu, the system will give the random 18 putts to analyze your putting style. After you finish the session, you will be asked save it or not. You can get all the datas after 10 sessions. You can also get the datas for every single session such as distance, putter face angle and putter path. I usually clean the mat once or twice every 2 weeks with the duck tape things. Some people do vacuum on the mat, but people living with pets normally do the tape.
