Enjoyed the education. Will definitely use the drill regularly to help increase speed. I'll make sure I'm mindful that my arms need to be straight or close to it during impact. Cheers.

GOLFTEC open a store in Bakersfield Ca. The only place we have with a launch monitor is Dicks sporting goods that store leads club fitting in California out of all the Dicks. If a GOLFTEC came here you guys would do great!! I know me and all my friends would go.

I have noticed in my intensive analysis of your and other's material along with countless players swings that there is kind of a golftec swing that I notice among several of your instructors with slight differences. The main characeristic of it is very neutral stance position, club, arm, and hand path on the backswing and consequently concommitantly so on the downswing. I surmise that this is so because golftec measures only what the torso is doing and so if you take the mean of the best positions of the torso and and learn to employ neutral position of the arms, legs, and neutral weight shift dynamics you end up with a vanilla looking but extremely effective golf swing. For example, Patrick in this video has a very neutral stance with erect posture and then takes the hands back close to the body, with the arms straight for a significant distance and the shaft is right in line with the arms which open the clubface fairly quickly on the way back (although ostensibly square to the plane because rotation, bend, and tilt will naturally close the clubface through impact) and the wrists break right in line with the arms on the way back. The lead arm lifts and moves rearward in very balanced proportions with the turning of the shoulders and the center of rotation is very stable in the backswing. So with simple side and back bend, rotation, and weight shift the club can be delivered very effectively to the ball. My point is this, if golftec taught those neutral movements of the non-measured parts ( I believe that they don't, could be wrong) students would likely progress much faster having fewer non-measured variables to muddle about with. When emulating Patrick's arm, hand, and wrist movements I found it extremely easy with preknowledge of side and back bend rotation, and weight shift to produce excellent extension and impact with no sense of contortion as many top swings require to emulate.

Good stuff but didn’t Jack ,the golden bear lift his left heal as a trigger.
@GOLFTECLessonsFittings2 жыл бұрын
Hey Gordon, thanks for the view and comment. You are correct, Jack did lift his left heel as a trigger.

I disagree with your belief that Jack lifted the left heel as a trigger. Yes, I do agree a player can lift the left heel on the BS to use as a trigger in an effort to initiate the correct order of movement on the forward swing. However, with that being said, Jack did not use his left heel to trigger his downswing.

Jack was a student of Jack Grout. A young Jack Grout was the assistant pro to Henry Picard at Hershey Country Club. Henry Picard overalled his swing with the help of the great old teacher Alex Morrison. Alex Morrison taught Picard the correct order of movement and proper footwork. Morrison wrote a book about it. A new way to better golf in 1932. Picard taught the same things to grout his assistant pro. And of course grout later taught Jack. If you're a student of Jack Nicklaus and his teachings and his books, there is plenty of information about Alex Morrison and proper footwork and in that you will find the reason that left heel rises
