I brewed a very different Pili-Pala pile (try to say that one quick three times) a while back, focusing on redundancy and tutors to assemble one of multiple possible infinite loops. I used Heliods Pilgrim to find Careful Cultivation, Evanescent Intellect, or Utopia Sprawl and Freed from the Real (in case I want to combo with Arbor Elf/Voyaging Satyr). Add a bit of utility like Starlit Mantle and Candle Trap to complete the tutor-package. Sadly I feel like Pili-Pala is just too fragile a combo to pull of easily. Being soft to both creature and artifact removal is painful.

Safekeepings should be the first cut against walls, all of them...

@@kennycorrea5062 why? We are racing and they run artifact hate cards as well as valakut invoker which kills pili?

@@TeasdaleMTG some Walls lists runs Gorillas that won't hit Pili and/or a miserable 3 copies of other spells that can be dealt with Pilfer+Duress. In the Walls player position I would try to race you as fast as I can, since I'm more likely to combo off at t4, even at t3 possibly, so I would not waste time adding interactions that will make my LTS and WW worse... If I were in your position, I would do the same, try to win as fast as I can without care about interaction...at least this is the mindset I'm more used to...

Round 1 game 2, are you sure you were not able to combo? How much mana the combo needs?
@TeasdaleMTG9 күн бұрын
@@CornFlaix 5 mana but you need pili pala to survive a turn or give it haste to combo
