Just because this coaster doesn't follow the traditional rules of wooden roller coasters doesn't mean it's going to be pointless or suck. It still has what looks to be an excellent drop and some nice twists and turns along with the inversions. I'll admit they could be making it a longer ride but it still looks damn fun to me.

Its wooden if you look at the beams but it still has the traditional metal runners on the track but what gives it such a smooth ride for the b-rolls are pre-fab wheels but yes in this video it does look like and iron horse hybrid track

Its a combination of wood and steel. The steel allows the coasters to do things that they couldnt on just wood. So its like a mix of both

One quick physics question. One the dive loop supports have to be metal or else the downward force exerted by the track would cause problems, right?

Wonder if there will be any airtime on that last hill into the brakes. maybe instead of going up and having a downward brake run they could have fit one more airtime hill on the last strait run and have the brake run on a more horizontal plane with the station.

Bigger does not always mean better. I think this ride looks sweet and I can't wait to ride it. The hangtime on the zero g stall is enough to make me want to ride. The dive loop will be amazing. Outlaw Run, and IRAT are not long coasters but both are amazing. I am looking forward to this. For those of you bitching about a name get over it .As Brutus basically said to Cassius, "What's in a name"! This coaster will be short, sweet, and awesome.

looks like some hang time. Should work well, Outlaw Run has a double barrel roll that nears hang time and it was very comfortable and felt good.

Most coasters don't need a shoulder restraint due to inertia keeping you in your seat over inversions. A lap bar, especially one also equipped with a seatbelt, is plenty.

Wood coasters have the same "three wheel" wheel assembly as steel coasters. They are just hidden behind the rails because they can't hug the outer track. So they hug the inside of the track.

It will be the same type as Outlaw Run. So yeah it has mostly wooden track, but it has steel reinforcements so I guess it would be a hybrid of a hybrid lol.

El Toro is a BEAST! Bit of a simple track layout, but certainly a massive thrilling machine. Intamin woodies are awesome! And I know El Toro holds the record for fastest wooden coaster. There ARE lots of great record holding coasters out there, but just nog all of them are great. Plus, Son of beast had a looping too, and it was my favorite ride. But Goliath just feels completely out of its place...
