अमोल पालेकर एक अच्छा कलाकार है लेकीन सार्वजनिक मंच पर उन्हे समाजवाद का किडा काटता है और प्रवाह के विरुध्ह तयरनेकी नाकामयाब और अपमानजनक कौशिष करते है. अमोल का अस्तित्व सिर्फ बासुदा के वजहसेही है वे एक मध्यम वर्ग परिवार से है और 70 80 के दशक मे बासुदा ने मध्यम वर्ग के विभिन्न वर्गो परही फिल्मे बनाई इसलीये अमोल को विशेष कुछ प्रयास नही करने पडे.
