Hey Vadim, nice work as always. I was wondering whether could you show us some live games while also talking about the moves or recap of sorts? I think it'll be really interesting to learn that way. Cause someone can immediately see the application of the guide videos.

Hey, thank you! We published a poll not so long ago, where we included a course “Game reviews with vinegar and salt”. It was not very popular according to the results, but we still plan to make it some time in the future!

I started the game of Go two months ago, cause I watched your 9x9 beginner video. I found a local group with a lot of strong players, some up to 2 dan and I play a lot with them. Just a week ago I was playing against a 4kyu on 13x13 and he played a monkey jump with the words:"let's see if you learned enough to counter the monkey jump". Since then it was in my mind and I hadn't had the time yet to google what a monkey jump is. I lost so much territory in this game.

That is truly a cool technique. Keep it up with your Go journey :)

I remember my friend Armando playing this move for the first time. He stole all my points 💰💰

Watch a little after 3:02 he does slight of hand level silent, continuous motion stone removal like a straight up ninja!

That's what we call magic =)

At 11:13, black's strongest response is probably the clamp (point 2-9 here). White cannot cut because he would be captured in a snap-back. Because of that response, I don't see how white can stop black from ruining his territory on the 2nd line, except if he's prepared to play a ko.

You're totally right, but this is a beginner-friendly course, so we were trying not to overload it with too much advanced stuff =) That clamp is definitely quite advanced.

@@GoMagicI'm a 3-dan who loves teaching, and I love your content. Then I'll be glad to comment for the not-so-beginners who go to the comment section.

Someone used a monkey jump into my game… I went from winning by 15 or so points to 0.5.

Around 5:27 when you say at some point black will have to capture, it seems that if he pushes to the corner of the board he will be able to connect his stones thanks to the extra liberty at the very edge. Am i reading this wrong?
@GoMagic9 ай бұрын
Clever idea!! But actually if Black crawls one more time, White can atari from the first line and drive Black upwards. Check it again and you'll see.

aha! And here i though i was being clever. Thanks for explaining!
