Great pictures indeed! This Bus is pushed all over the media like no other car. Volkswagen did bring a micro bus study in 2001 with about the same design! It was also shown at the Detroit car show that year. Nothing is new about this design. It took VW only 23 years and change to electric motors. But best in propaganda as we know!

i would bet, that without additional weight of battery etc, same ice buzz with same brakes would stop faster.

@@izoytThe weight is a linear function for both inertia and braking force. If a car is heavier, it presses harder on the road and it can transfer just as much more braking power so that the braking distance remains (approximately) the same.

I am pretty sure the IDBuzz would not pass the US criteria. Anyway, IDBuzz is way overprized, it´s a niche car here in EU, together with the T7. Much lower sales compared with former T5, T6/6.1 and VW Sharan.

@@waldemarthecat7611 It would do great. Nothing special about US tests. Eu has done 40% frontal overlap test from the 90's going 40mph. IDBuzz is is now sold in US and VW know it has to meet EU AND US tests.

@@waldemarthecat7611 One of the US tests in a 10 % overlap! The EU tests I believe 40 % overlap. Some cars including Audi did not do well with the 10 % test a while ago.

It's not really overpriced, you can get the base variant for less than 50k€. Which is reasonable for a VW bus.

@@waldemarthecat7611 I don't understand how being a niche vehicle is relevant to safety. I've already seen several IDBuzz on the roads here in Texas. Europe doesn't allow cybertrucks, and we do, so I am not inclined to believe that the US is somehow more strict on vehicle safety.

Why wouldn't it? It will be sold in the U.S. next year and that means it will have to pass the small overlap test. The ID.4 is based on the same platform and that did very well so I have no doubts the Bus will do well too
