DK Danis It’s a matter of your perception of maintenance. The Germans do not have the same definition of maintenance that the Japanese and the Americans do. If you maintain your German car the way the Germans describe it, it will last a long time and cost you many times the price of the vehicle in maintenance costs. The Japanese, especially Honda and Toyota, create engines that require extremely small amounts of maintenance to reach the same mileage. The Americans build cars that are very cheap and disposable, drive them until the wheels come off and get another one cheaply. That is precisely the difference between the design and maintenance philosophies.
