​@@philipmorris2223all due respect, romanzo criminale has a touch of romantism from the distant era to it with some good metaphors, while Sopranos has a lot of comedy (obvious, subtle, dark), mystic elements, constant nostalgia, then realism of "the life" and civil life in modern setting. While Gomorra is pure ultra serious realism, no comedy or any other ingredient to dilute it or divert attention from. My point being, they're different at their core, and that's why they're all worth watching.

Io la interpreto anche come "spettatore, dopo che hai seguito le loro vicende, che hai sofferto con loro, empatizzato con loro (perché in una serie ben fatta tu empatizzi con il protagonista, anche se è Genny o Ciro), sei condannato a vivere testimone della loro ignobile e anonima fine". È inoltre categorico come, nei titoli di cosa, non ci sia la canzone che siamo abituati a sentire. Non ci può essere speranza, quella speranza che i personaggi hanno sempre anelato si è infranta su quella spiaggia, come le onde del mare, all'incontro con quei proiettili sparati da persone senza nome

Netflix had this series several years ago but only the first two seasons and lost the rights due to some issues with the Weinstein company. I just discovered it again within the past week and have watched seasons 3 and 4 and am in the middle of the final season. It is the best show I’ve ever seen. I’m getting anxious wondering how it’s going to all end between Ciro and Gennaro. This ending score always gave me goosebumps.

@@peterpenny4673 I was satisfied with the end; really satisfied. We learned in this show early on not to get too attached to any character. I figured it was going to have to end with both of them dying and I like that it kept true to the show where you can get clipped by anyone. We never saw the face of who killed Ciro or Gennaro. They were just other men in the life who will probably meet their end in the same way. In the end, Ciro and Genny, through all of their history and trauma, knew who the other was, and had a true brotherly type love for each other. It was perfect and I was taken aback by how emotional I became in those last moments of them on the ground next to each other.

The series shows perfectly, even fictional, how today's mafia stepped far away from it's origins by selling their soul to toxic psychoactive and mind altering addictive drugs all and only for money and greed instead of fighting for the little man like farmer knights during the dark mid-ages in which most mafia organisations were first time mentioned.
