My favorite Gimli build I call Gimli's Axe. Item 1: I. Battle Axe II. Iron Hills Battle Axe III. Grief-Bearer IV. Sorrow-Sworn Armor: I. Plate Armor II. Iron Hills Plate III. Defender of the Citadel Skill Cards: Glory (Delver 12xp), Eye for Opportunity (Trickster 12xp), Overrun (Shieldmaiden 12xp), and Ancestry (Lorekeeper 7xp) After acquiring the list of cards, I would switch to Captain or Soldier to get extra attacks. Sorrow-Sworn is one of the most efficient weapons and can reach dizzying damage totals when you start adding Strike. Glory turns the downside of Striking with Sorrow-Sworn into a positive. Overrun adds additional attacks and along with Ancestry, adds successes to attack tests. All purchased cards have a success to help fuel Gimli's ability. He should be able to do without much inspiration. Defender of the Citadel adds to both of Gimli's attack stats at T4 which ensures maximum damage output. Eye for Opportunity not only has Strike, but critically also Rest, to help get rid of some of the damage accumulated with Sorrow-Sworn.

So glad you are back! Siked you have found something to bring you back, however your Elementary series is still loved, at least by me. What would it take to get you to do "My Little Scythe" and maybe even its expansion "Pie in the Sky"? SM sometimes sends review copies to people such as yourself...

@@BoardGameSchoolhouse I may be wrong, but if "good morning" is a tip, it could comes by the dialogue in the movie between Bilbo and Gandalf. My guess is the next character guide is about Bilbo, because make more sense explain the characters from the first box and Gandalf appears only in the first expansion. Anyway, whoever you guys bring to us for the guide, it will be awesome. Thanks for the attention! 😁👍🏻

Ooo you’re thinking like a tier list, yes? I should probably do that at some point, but I’ll also say that every build I recommend in this videos I stand by as strong enough to actually play. When it comes down to it, I think the group composition is more important than the quality of each individual hero. That being said, I’d say Gimli is one of the stronger heroes overall due to his ability to top deck successes in combat.

Both are good choices for Gimli. The best choice will be the one that rounds out the keywords in the group the most. Hammer is best for wiping out enemies with multiple minis, axe is better for enemies that are single minis.
