Since the entertainment industry is dodgy to say the least, I am not convinced that his death was a simple overdose. The syringe next to the body is too obvious and apparently there was no autopsy.

Sas thing about frankie is that he thought doo wop was going last forever and it didnt. By 60s he was almost broke n hooked on heroin .stealing from stores n what freinds he had left. The movie tby made bout was bout worst thing ever made. Portrayed him as a miltary hero when the fact was he awol n dishonorably discharged n also draining zola taylor bank account n let her home go to foreclosure hints that he was an irresponsible. As he got older he then begins lose his voice due to drugs he was gone

I love this great video of one of the greatest rock and roll singers of all time is Frankie Lymon he made some great songs from back in the day like unforgettable classics Why Do Fools Fall In Love I used to have the movie on videocassette it was a good movie Larenz Tate was excellent in the film!!! It was a shame that he died so young of a drug overdose at 26 years old in 1968. Sometimes being a singer and a musician is really tough in the music industry like being on drugs, alcohol, spending money and you lose everything like your house and all your prized possessions too!!!! Being a singer leaves you broke with nobody else to turn to!!!! Thanks so much for posting this video I love it!!! R.I.P. Frankie Lymon you are now in musical heaven!!!👼👼👼👼👼🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

I went to the same junior high school as Frankie (Stitt JHS 164) in the mid-1960's and one of my teacher's used Frankie's downfall as a warning to us to steer clear of drugs. I saw a lot of lives destroyed by heroin.

No one knows his cause of death...there was no autopsy and just because the needle was found near him does not mean he used it...people should stop spreading this rumor...He was probably murdered...this poor child was taken advantage of and not protected...so sad...rest on Frankie only you and God know the truth!

He grew up. He went from being a cute boy to being a man. He had a great adult voice and the women loved him. There's no doubt that if he'd stop doing the drugs and really focused on his career also with a great support system. He could have made a big come back. But even though he's deceased his music and legacy still lives on. I went into two stores this week and guess what I heard? They were playing Frankie Lymons songs.
