Awww watched this in the middle of the night when I was having a higher symptom night. Thank you, I've been waiting to hear what you thought of your first treatment. I'm currently in the throws of raising money to have this next chapter start with Dr. Hauser and company and the more I read, watch and hear from you and other sources, the more confidant I am in that my focus on this as my next step will be worth the financial cost. The possibility of working with another knowledgeable and caring expert is getting me so excited. My husband and I are so hopeful this could get my battery working at really any percentage higher than it is now. I love the idea of "productive pain". I will often say to myself during harder times "stay right here" to remind myself that there is beauty and purpose in each moment I live, even through the pain. Keeping you in my prayers each day, Rachael.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I should start sharing more... I had one question, do you have to be diagnosed before you go here? Or should I try to have doctors diagnose me in my home State first? Also how do you pay for all this (if that isn’t too private)? Health spending cards? Or supplemental insurance?
@HealingWithRachael3 жыл бұрын
You definitely don't need to be diagnosed before coming here, for many this is their first stop. They do a full evaluation to assess for instability and arterial compressions, etc. Unfortunately there are very few doctors that are knowledgable about cervical instability so it is difficult to receive a diagnosis! It's okay, I am happy to answer. Everything is out of network. So for each appointment, we file it with insurance in hopes that they will apply some/all of it to my deductible. They give you all the information that you need to submit to insurance after every appointment. Thankfully we have been able to make it work financially so far, but I know many others do fundraising, etc. The problem isn't that they are overpriced (they actually charge much less than hospitals would if they were doing these treatments), but that insurance often doesn't cover prolotherapy. Which is so sad because it has such high success rates--and would likely actually save them money. Anyways, I'm sorry if that was too much information! I hope that whatever you decide to do, you find answers and relief. You aren't alone.

Insurance may not cover it because it’s not approved by the fda ? I’m Not sure

I hope prolotherapy helps you 🙏
@HealingWithRachael3 жыл бұрын
Hi Colin! Thank you for sharing. I don't find the neck weights very uncomfortable, to me they actually feel pretty good. The only hard part is standing still with POTS. But its manageable. They are very attentive to detail and so if the weights didn't feel right for whatever reason, I'm sure they would help you adjust them. Depending on the case/person, they said they start with anywhere from 1lb-15lbs--so its very individualized. For those that aren't fused where I am, they typically do a few prolo treatments first before starting with weights. Anyways, I hope all goes well for you! I have been managing my symptoms through stabilization exercises daily, and it has made such a difference in my life. I also considered prolotherapy but wanted to go the natural route as long as it was producing results. I'm 99% better after four years of chronic pain and debilitation (it had been coming on for 15 years but 2017 was when the worse symptoms started; unable to be upright without pain, brain fog, GI dysmotility, hands turning blue from Raynaud's, stuck in fight or flight mode from forward head posture/military neck, tinnitus, TMJ, locked jaw, optic migraines which caused me to lose vision, trouble walking towards the very end of it; just all the scary symptoms you can imagine.); The laxity in my neck supporting structures caused my skeleton to be out of alignment, which was cutting off nerve signals to the rest of my body, setting off an entire disease process that progressed over the course of several years. The last six months of stabilization the neck ligaments (ligamentum nuchae esp which holds your C-spine in place), working on posture and neck curve have been the keys. There is a gal who is doing the same for her EDS connective tissue and neck instability and she is fully recovered. Her name is Kayla (maybe you have seen her videos) and her channel is Duncan Recovery and Wellness and she explains her symptoms and journey to recovery in detail. Just another tool for your tool box and the rest of us who suffer from this debilitating neck instability. Thank you for the update and prayers for your full recovery. 💕💕

Hi! I have very similar symptoms to yours and I can barely stand up these days. Could you please share how exactly do you stabilize your neck? Do you follow a specific set of exercises? Thank you sm!
@lalabyelulu40213 жыл бұрын
@@anyalazor7978 mostly isometric exercises either using the floor, wall and eventually my hands as counter pressure and resistance several times a day. Eventually I could use my hands to traction the neck while doing chin tucks/cervical retraction throughout the day while standing. The key for me has been engaging the deep neck flexors which had become weak over time from poor posture, and practice shoulder retraction which helped to support my neck in a more neutral and less forward position. I had many flares in the beginning because of how weak my neck muscles were but the strength and endurance is now there and it has become routine.
@anyalazor79783 жыл бұрын

@lalabyelulu40213 жыл бұрын
@@anyalazor7978 Thank you! Yes. Now I can lean over and do activities without my disc slipping out of place, so it was worth it; i'm getting my life back. I hope you find what works for you and heal fully and remember to be patient and gentle with yourself. ❤ I also wanted to add kzbin.info/door/MfS4PyEaSYXAeD_xMg8WYAvideos videos because she explains how she healed her instability in detail and you may find that you can relate to her.

May I know if your case also related with cervical kyphosis?
@rigaleb2 жыл бұрын
Hey, Rachel, hope you are doing well! The only curious thing is how can injections in the neck, supposedly in the ligaments, where there are a lot of sensible structures like arteries and veins and nerves, be done without live imaging. Isn't it very dangerous? I mean, everyone has a completely different anatomy, how one can be sure an artery isn't punctured? After all.. when irritating arteries.. the next thing that can happen is a blood clot, don't want one of those in the arteries that go to the brain. Actually, you don't want it anywhere.. I really really hope it helped you a lot! A lot of love and energy towards you!🙏
@JacksonStar4757 Жыл бұрын
I've wondered that too but I think the answer is that the anatomy really isn't different from person to person, maybe the size of the vertebrae... but for example the vertebral artery is in the same place for everyone so the Dr knows by feeling the vertebrae where the ligaments attach in relation to certain bony structures and where the arteries are, etc. Just like when my upper cervical chiropractor felt my neck she immediately knew where my atlas was. None of the experienced prolotherapists I've seen use guidance unless it's c0 thru c2

After researching both regenexx and caring medical, I personally felt better about caring medicals approach. They address your neck curve as well as do treatments with prolotherapy. It seems like they really see their patients through. I also felt that the people I spoke with that were treated at caring medical had better results than some of those that did treatments at regenexx. That's not to say regenexx doesn't help a lot of people, too! Also, the PICL isn't an option for me because I have my c0-2 fused.

Yes, to my knowledge Dr. Hauser can inject the C0/1 area, and he does it using guidance. The reason he didn't for me is because I am fused in that area. Typically he does with his neck patients! @HealingWithRachael3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I guess I technically have ME/CFS, but I believe the root of it is likely chronic infection. Fatigue is still a major symptom for me, but going completely zero carb (carnivore) has helped immensely with my severe crashes. I've seen lots of ME patients and other autoimmune patients do very well with carnivore, many go completely into remission with time. 😊
@alpineluvv3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, my 6 weeks of trying a carnivore/zero carb diet to treat my ME/CFS progressively developed alarming symptoms of dementia….it felt like my brain was being starved….once my doctor told me to hurry and get off the diet it was like my brain was being fed again and my severe memory loss began to return. It must just be very individualized. So many ME/CFS cases are mechanically based too due to CCI so I’m curious if your treatments with Dr Hauser will improve the fatigue (fingers crossed!).
