I went to one of Gong's 50th anniversary gigs in 2019. I don't think there was anyone on stage over the age of 45, but unbelievably, it was the same band I saw in 1974 and a few times since. At least it sounded it - top class musicianship, six part harmonies for one song, same vibe, same thrill. See them if you get a chance - they were touring with Steve Hillage. After the phenomenal1974 show in Preston, my mate and I found a lost Count Bloomdido Bad de Grasse in the subway under the Guildhall, trying to navigate the labyrinth back to the car park. Easily done, I almost lost the car there once. Nice guy.

43 now. Hippie by personal choice after the 90s which re-emphasized the values of the 60s. I had some spectacular times at free festivals and impromptu raves on private land (non destructive and respectful) in the early 90s. We had a really tight and large group. It was a proper community. I'll never forget those days and then the Criminal justice act came in made parties like that illegal. Damn shame. Thatcher wrecked Britain. We soldier on. Luv and Peace.
