Hi, I was trying to figure this out too. because the middle is 20 st. around and there are 5 petals, I believe each petal takes up 4 stitches. The first row is by itself in a st. rows 2 and 3 are together in one st. rows 4 and 5 are together in one st. row 6 is in a new st. by itself.
