I was lucky, my one son started at age 14. I almost lost him many times but I wouldn't quit. Narcan brought him back 2x and I dragged his ass to a very strict rehab when he was in his 20s. He is now 42 and 15 years clean. Married 2 kids good job. I wasn't so lucky with a niece.😢 Tough Love it got real ugly sometimes and I was called some very hurtful things. My times I almost left him laying in the gutter. Found him one time in his bedroom passed out needle still in his arm. Pulled out and smacked him in the face. That my heart was torn in half. I chanced upon this song and find it really encouraging. It is true that sometimes life can truly be overwhelming and relying on yourself can at some point take its toll.
