Maybe it’s called “The Clap” because it occurred due to people “clapping” their bodies together?

Abstinence and then life long pair bonding would get rid of all STDs. You do not have to be religious to choose this option. We push sexual liberation on the youth believing we protect them from religious fundamentalism and expose them to physical and emotional pain in the process. Condoms will not protect you from herpes or crabs. They can also split. I am a Christian but I haven’t always been. I think it’s incredibly sad that we never tell kids that not having sex is an option, and this does not have to be religiously motivated.

That's not realistic in the slightest. People have sex. It's something we do. It would be like telling people not to eat. Abstinence should not be taught because it absolutely will not be followed. Yes, condoms offer protection from all STDs. Get your facts straight.

Professor Dave Explains get your facts straight. They do not protect you from herpes. I’ve got herpes so I should know. You can get herpes in areas that condoms do not cover. www.webmd.com/genital-herpes/news/20090713/condoms-help-cut-risk-of-genital-herpes So get your facts straight professor Dave. Sex is not comparable to eating. So get a grip. You behave like an adolescent. Eating is essential, sex is not. If sex was essential then people that are celibate would die. I do understand it would be difficult for many people to practice. But I find it astonishing that the option to remain abstinent is never promoted. It doesn’t have to be religious, it can be a sane choice that people can take.
