No one seems to mention the breathtaking WHALE sightings, often as many as a dozen and several breaching at the same time, even more spectacular than Hermanus. Locals wander down in the late afternoon to the Point area to watch and enjoy the relaxed community vibe.

Beautiful! At about 3:32 to 3:33, is that a shark toward the bottom left side of the screen? I wonder how many of the bathers were aware that it was hardly 150m away the entire time 🤔...

this was great to watch gonubie from the sky. I liked the view on 1.39 I did not know that there was only rocks and reef about 50 meter out then there is sand again there opposite the hotel area I see it was posted in june Were people even swimming in winter

I use to live in Gonubie when I was a child my dad built his own house there next to the golf course this was in the early 80s I've since then emigrated to the UK in the early 90s I've never been back my mother still lives in South Africa it's a long story but I had some really good memories there it's definitely different here but it does get really hot in summer I love it here to but everything's changing there and here and it's not for the best.
