I used to get that excited all the time at Tarheel Games. But now I'm getting a little bit older and I can't afford to get that excited. So before a game I just load up on my medications and concentrate on staying relaxed. Back when I was very young we had a basketball goal and I would run outside and shoot two free throws, whenever a tar heel was fouled. I always told myself if I could hit my free throws then they could too.

Wow son you were really tense during this game huh? I remember all the way back to '57 and was always kind of tense when Carolina was in the final four like this. I lived through all those years when they said Dean couldn't win the big one but much of that time UCLA had the greatest big men in the country like Alcindor, Walton, etc. But then came MJ with his shot against Georgetown and then the game against Michigan in '93, which I never had any doubt we'd win even when the Heels got down by ten. And since then every time they're in the title game I have an expectation of a win. 2016 was a disappointment because after Marcus hit that big shot I expected the game to go into OT and the Heels would win the game because they can usually take a team in that situation after such a dramatic occurrence such as Marcus's shot. Then came Jenkins shot and the pain was truly awful. And yet during this game there was Jenkins Nate Britt's virtual brother behind our bench wearing a Tar Heel shirt and it was just great seeing that. You should try and relax in situations like this lest you do like Charlie Justice during one of their football games and have a heart attack.

Thank god the Tar Heels won because I would have to endure my dad almost breaking shit for a second straight year while on a family trip for my spring break. 2016 we went to all the Disney Parks except Blizzard Beach and this year we went to Universal Disney Springs and Blizzard Beach. I love the shit outta this video. Very similar to my own reaction lol. Honestly wish I could re-live this moment over and over and over -- realizing we redeemed ourselves with a championship after losing in the worst possible way the year before. I watched us win in '05 and '09, but there was something about winning this year that made it exceptionally great.
