This was an amazing Disco era , I was way too young ,but Sat Night Fever is still one of my favourite albums ,A Great film with soundtracks are "The Stud"/ The Bitch, and one that's a banging album , "Chloe Sevigne and Kate Beckinsale in The Last Days of Disco Nile Rodgers deserves way more than he has ,He should be inducted into the Highest honor Roll of Fame

@@DarranJHankey66 What a great comments and commentary. Thank you so much for your love and appreciation of this music I worked very hard on the songs I did the height of the disco era and continue on do you have a career the speed and R&B rock funk and pop at the highest levels. This music made people feel good was responsible for lifting spirits and came out of the time when we all need a little bit of joy happiness and Something to look forward to. Whenever I read comments from people like yourself my heart is warmed my spirits lifted in the joy in my heart immense as I believe I did a small part to help people feel good and that is the purpose of my career. Thank you for this wonderful comments and your support. John

@@JOHNLUONGO Thanks John , it's amazing to read your story , it's surreal because this is one of many many I loved from this "Feel good" era ,but Gonzalez it was at the time ,around 79,80, I lived In Blackpool ,the North west coast of England and I'd walk past bars and clubs only being 13/14 yoa at that time and this was like I say being heavily into Saturday night fever album and enjoying the obscure tracks like David Shire ( Manhattan Skyline) Yvonne Ellimen ( I still prefer her version than Tavares) Tavares, amazing , Trammps, Disco Inferno ! It's timeless , But the one that just makes me go OH YEAH, Chic , Everybody Dance ! That's Jazz Bass intro is spectacular ! But it was a hard track to just walk in and buy , ( Gonzalez) and when my mums sister in law's brother who was a big Vinyl collector gave it me I think I wore it out lol , but respect man, You were the Architect on a fabulous track that brings back great ,happy ,worry free time 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Gonzalez were one of the best bands doing the pub circuit in the 70s and I think I saw them at the Nashville in West London. Gloria Jones who wrote the song was in attendance with her then current beau, Marc Bolan, in the audience. I vaguely recall the song and band were also featured in the Joan Collins film, "The Bitch " and the scene was filmed at the Rooftop Gardens in Kensington-- I recognised it from the bar and Flamingo motifs as I was a member of the Club

This is everything that disco was! funky baseline, catchy guitar riffs, orchestral instruments layered on a conga drum rythym and spandex and lame outfits. When the music scene was about looking good, feeling good and having a great time. Too bad we can't bring those days back!

I remember that in High School one girl used to bring a Panasonic radio cassette player and just the teacher left the clasroom and he or she was far away, my girl classmate pressed "Play" and 8 or 10 buddies jump to front of the blackboard and they started to dance as crazies.
