This man is the most humble person. It’s like he’s shy ir has no idea how legendary he is.

John is in his 50's now & of course he doesn't look the same from 20 years ago. but he's a very unique man in many ways. he's also still handsome & a humble artist.

Thank you for doing this interview. When I heard the goo goo dolls were doing a Christmas album in 2020 I thought "wow that's ambitious and this could really help people right now." I have looked up to Robby and Johnny as artists my whole life. They say to never meet your heros, but watching this just makes me respect them as artists and fellow humans more. From one artist and human to another I appreciate the talent and humble attitude.

Regarding multitrack recording, music was routinely recorded on Ampex 525 eight-track recorders by the mid-1950s. The Beatles' early recordings were captured mostly on four-track Telefunken machines, then on four-track Studers, and eventually on 3M and Studer eight-track recorders. The Beach Boys albums like "Pet Sounds" were recorded on eight-track recorders, which were available in larger LA studios. By 1967, Ampex had produced the sixteen-track MM-1000 recorder which was used by groups like the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Frank Zappa, and Blood, Sweat and Tears. During the 1970s, sixteen-track, twenty-four track, and even 32-track recorders were commonplace in studios around the country and in Europe.
