This version sounds sooo modern, and I'm loving it. Also, am I the only one who really likes the way John has adjusted his tone of voice, and singing style to sound more modern? I believe it's intentional on his part. The funny thing is, that he sounds more boyiah now, in his fifties than he did way back. This guy is ever evolving, and it's so cool to see. Just listen to BOXES.

For as much as I love the Live Room performances they do come across as mechanical and bored... I've been catching up though and my most recent favourite is the gorgeous "As I Am"... makes me bawl every time, reminds me of my very flawed (aren't we all though) but beautiful boyfriend who gave up on himself and passed away unintentionally through bad decisions 7 years ago. I loved him as he was, always did, always would.
