Thank you for this. As an autistic adult female, who has great chance of going completely deaf, I'm learning asl and the easiest way for my autistic brain to remember signs is learning asl covers and learning more and more. And as someone who doesnt understand facial expressions, and have trouble expressing my facial expressions, your facials really helped me be able to understand social ques better.

U didn’t ask me, but I have a tip, do online lessons. Ask is English based so googling sings aren’t gonna work as well. If you dint have money for them there are so free ones. Or some you tubers do free online lessons that are just basics. Gl :D BY the way I learned bc im deaf have servers hearing loss and am slowly going deaf

🗣LEARN FROM DEAF ASL USERS PLEEEASE the Deaf community has mixed opinions on hearing people teaching ASL, and honestly, Deaf signers are going to teach you more accurate and fluid signing. I took ASL 1 in college with a hearing prof, and ASL 2 with a Deaf prof. It wasn’t until ASL 2 that I became conversationally proficient (still not fluent) in ASL, because I had to practice putting my thoughts into ASL so often to communicate efficiently with my prof and classmates (we were voice off). You can look around on google for Deaf teachers in your area or online, and @kelly4access on ig posts links to lots of teachers and resources!

Girl, I tried!!! I tried SO hard! But they make SO many american pop culture references in that song. I felt like I was fingerspelling the entire song and it just didn't work for me. I couldn't find a good rhythm for my translations so I gave up 🥺
