You're quite literally correct about The Company Man; it was produced for Season 1 but aired in Season 2. That's why it looks so much uglier than most of the others.

4:35 I believe (while they had a fictional character in show) that's a reference to the Traci Lord's scandal where it turned out she was actually a minor when she was first in the industry. So it's actually a pretty heavy "blink and you miss it" joke, there was a famous case to set precedent for it.
