Good, bad, ugly or cool? What's the verdict - CAKE MAKKA!

This is my test-drive of the CAKE MAKKA. A fun little EV bike with a huge personality. What're your thoughts about it? Funky Cool or wouldn't ever be seen driving it? :D

As far as I know, it's pretty simple...you can only ride it where you can drive a car - in the street, not in bike lanes, not on pedestrian paths, etc. And, always with a DOT-approved helmet, driver license, and current plates and registration from DMV.

Ok. Thanks for that info. And this would be for EV bikes without pedals then? With pedals it’s the opposite? :)

@@Per.Norberg As far as I know, you are correct. An eBike with pedals that does not have a VIN or require license plates, title, and registration from DMV, can ride in bike lanes and on bike paths. This might be more of an evolving grey area and the rules may be different from one jurisdiction to another.

Ridiculous law. Slap some unusable pedals on it and suddenly the law is totally different. Complete nonsense...

Laws in Sweden (or that’s what we are talking about? 😁) allows for bikes with pedals to go with help up to 25km/h and if it can go faster than that then it’s considered a klass 1 moped and need license plate and road registration with or without pedals.

A Makka that could do 35mph would be perfect in my opinion. Don't want/need 40mph or a bigger form factor (Osa).

It’s the Wild West out there. They aren’t making laws to keep up w the Innovations. (Like when the two wheel scooters came out ) Cool concept, not my style of electic bike.
