That's basically almost exactly how Hootie's name actually happened, dudes in high school made up a dumb name when they were nobodies, then became big overnight and then were like "fuck, well we can't change it now"

The only issue I have with Hootie and the Blowfish is that the country artist Darius Rucker literally tries way too hard to sound just like the lead singer of HatB. Darius even covers their songs at his concerts! Like dude be original and play your own shit
