Pig chasing is not actually self explanatory! It's a reference to the original novel! LCY was talking to XF about sex, and XF said "Even if I have never eaten a pig, I have seen a pig run" (Chinese saying, meaning even if you haven't experienced something, you have seen it being done before ), which suggested she has witnessed someone having sex at Ming Yu Fang. So the term "pig run" became synonymous with sex between XF abd LCY, and according to the author she has covertly hinted that they have indeed let pigs run at least twice during their time together! So... I had to clean up my table and keyboard after the modern XF screaming the "pigs escaped!!!!(literally "pig run" in Mandarin)" because I had just sipped a large gulp of tea right before the start of the episode. XD

actually it was bcoz it was already been said by the monk that they both with have 3 life times so 2 life times were in imperial kingdom while the 3rd took place in modern life time in which the ml is shown derived of ambition ( mainly power) so instead of fans making up the 3rd life story the director gave us small insight though it was for heartbroken fans.
