Bring your appetite Santa Fe because this town knows how to cook! We extended our stay due to all the things to do and see and still only scratched the surface. We ended up staying a Los Suenos RV Park to regroup from dry camping at the Balloon Fiesta. Trish didn’t do much grocery shopping because she knew Santa Fe was a foodie town. We hit a couple of the local favorites and a couple touristy places too, but the food was good everywhere we ate! Below are links to all the restaurants. Santa Fe is a charming town with lots of art, friendly people and dogs. When you’re RVing through the Southwest, it’s worth stopping!
Big thanks to Matt with Blue Mantle Media for providing the drone footage for this episode. Check out his channel for awesome drone footage all around the world.

My wife and I have lived in Santa Fe most of our lives. If ever you find your way back here, we’d love to show you more of Santa Fe and the surrounding area. It’s fun listening to visitors experiences. When you live in a destination town, you sometimes forget how special it can be living here.

So my family made a decision to move in October. Uprooting our life and picked a spot on the map. As military veterans we are used to moving. But as time drew closer, something else took hold as we were selling stuff. We had originally planned on getting an RV for the move, but we landed on your channel and we're watching in rapt attention. Then just after Thanksgiving, the VA rated me 100% disabled. A long time in the making. I did the math and we talked. We choose then to retire and take our family rving full time. We start our journey January 1st. Thank you for the tips, tricks and hope. One week of work left. Then a week after that and we start. We will have more options with national park discounts and ability to stay at military base RV parks. But we are looking forward to our new adventure. I might even start a blog so vets know what's possible. Thanks again for the inspiration.

OMG LOL Just had the same Dometic experience last Friday evening while staying at Wind Creek State Park in Alabama. It was NINETEEN degrees and I could not figure out stop the A/C unit from blowing. So good! Better than my most memorable trip to Sante Fe. There I was. Sophomore in high school, Albuquerque. My mom is going out of town and decides I’m old enough to stay home and not have a chaperon. She tells me VERY specifically where I can take the family Oldsmobile.(not even allowed to drive it to school). I decide to go to Sante Fe and take a couple friends. We went to SOME of the places you show in your video but no where as cool as the show toon place. I TOTALLY got away with it (without driving home backwards). I say again, can’t wait for you guys to come to Colorado!

This makes me both happy and sad. My family has been in Santa Fe (and Taos) for decades. We're a humble folk. But lately New Mexico has garnered tons of media attention and more tourism than ever before. Our culture and way of life is now a show for tourists on vacations. Prices on everything from homes to food are increasing. Population is booming. I miss my old Santa Fe...

Santa Fe is the capital of New Mexico and is the fourth-largest city in the state. Santa Fe is the oldest capital city in the United States and the oldest city The city was originally occupied by a number of Pueblo Indian villages with founding dates between 1050 to 1150. One of the earliest known settlements came sometime after 900, and is now known as Downtown Santa Fe. I am cracking up about the Thermostat. I have heard the same thing from so many RVer's over the last 10 years. This is something that should be covered when you do the PDI inspection before delivery from the dealer. The fan does not have anything to do with the Furnace and should be in auto or off mode unless you have a heat pump on your rig. Great Video makes me want to head to Santa Fe. Happy Trails

Just catching up on some of your past videos. This was great! I've got to chime in though on the oldest city in the US. The oldest city in the US is Pensacola, Florida settled in 1559 by the Spanish. St. Augustine was settled in 1561. OK, so they like to refer to "permanent settlement" since Pensacola was attacked by the local Native Americans and wiped out and St. Augustine was settled while Pensacola was being re-settled. It's an ongoing family feud between the two cities. Ask the locals about it on your next trip through either city. As far as Santa Fe being 3rd oldest city --- maybe so, just not sure. I did see where it was settled in 1607. Just my 2 cents. Enjoy all your videos. Don from Florida

The elected officials not governing our city is creating chaos for the people visiting and people living in Santa Fe. The loud cars that take over our city day and night and the speeding cars and running red lights is an embarrassment to this city and the tax payers. There is no police presence to control any of this. In short, Santa Fe is going in the wrong direction. The officials are more interested with making the rail and art district another Disney park and not fixing problems at hand. I moved to Santa Fe over 14 years ago and love it, but the last few years of increased noise from the modified car mufflers have taken over the sound scape and is causing noise pollution that's unacceptable for most cities. My family and friends will no longer visit due to lack of sleep either in hotel rooms or at my place due to the noise. There are laws in place to curb the illegal cars but it's not being enforced. This is unfair and I don't know to approach it. I have contacted the governor's office and never received a reply, same with the mayor. Do our elected officials ever step outside to see what's going on in this city? This has been going on for a long time and there's been more than ample time to fix this.

Back a few seasons ago, both Tori and Tricia had walking/hiking shoes that resembled a foot print on the bottom, do you happen to remember and if so are they a good recommendation? Or if you have an amazon link, let me know. Thanks!! ⛺️

Yeah, Altra Running shoes. They are great with a large toe box that every show should have. Here is what Trish had. I have Altra's too. Trish switched to Sacony because she felt like a hobbit, but I still swear by them. amzn.to/2Baibyi

Prob. do not need to go this far to go to a restaurant called Santa Fe… From what I recall, did cause a taste sensory system jolt. 😊

Now, Mark, this is your mother. Tell that lovely wife of yours how pretty she looks when she descends down the steps all dolled up and full of anticipation for a night out on the town with you. Seriously, y'all are the best. Loved sharing Santa Fe with you. :-)

There is no ketchup for fries in Santa Fe. The proper condiments are green chili & cheese

Wrong. Santa Fe is the first and oldest. Santa Fe is the oldest capital city in North America and the oldest European community west of the Mississippi. While Santa Fe was inhabited on a very small scale in 1607, it was truly settled by the conquistador Don Pedro de Peralta in 1609-1610.
