The first episode of a 13 episode series. The goal of this project is not to create entertainment for Western Christians. It is a tool missionaries will use to teach the Bible chronologically to those who know little or nothing about God. People must understand who God is before they can understand the gospel. This often takes months of teaching, especially in foreign cultures different from our own. Using the Good and Evil DVD will shorten the teaching time to about four and one half hours of viewing. We are spending extra time and money to produce it in layers, allowing adjustments to be made when it is translated into other languages. The language can be changed while maintaining the sound effects and the original musical scoring.
It has been a monumental project, involving dozens of people, many of them professionals who have either volunteered their time or worked for a very low rate. We had to produce the voices of over 650 characters with about 30 actors, each one changing his or her voice to match several characters in the book. Auditions were held, and people from all over the Nashville area tried out. The carefully selected crew worked long hours for more than a week in a professional studio in Nashville. The producer, director, and audio technicians worked about 16 hours a day to get all the recordings done. Even though most of the people working on the project were Christians, a few of the men kept proclaiming, "The Bible says WHAT?!" Then they looked up the references found in Good and Evil and were amazed when they read what the Bible actually says.
The film will be separated into 13 chapters, each about 22 minutes long. The chapters can be shown over the course of days or weeks, with the missionary taking extra time to elaborate on the stories. People all around the world will come to know the Bible's central theme of sin and redemption from Genesis to Revelation.

I am pleased with it's accuracy and faithfulness to the Word of God. No liberty was taken. Not for entertainment, but will increase ones understanding of the flow of human history. This is for believers.

Actually the Bible doesn't say why God rejected Cain's offering. But it does say Abel gave his best, or firstborn, lamb, while Cain gave an offering, just AN offering. So what if Cain's was rejected because it wasn't his first fruits, because he lacked faith in God

I take it just like this, as an historic account. God does things His way, and those offerings were pointing towards Jesus' sacrifice of innocent blood. The Noah scene describes exactly the worlds condition today, and few are those who walk on the narrow road. It doesn't say it is for kids, but a rather a tool for missions and understanding who God is. These images are very realistic, and the sunday school material is more simple.. But blood sacrifices? That's just the truth..

@dstachon2002 Did you mean why would he test Adam or do u mean Abel? God is all knowing and is aware of everything. He made the heavens and the earth. What do humans know? All we have done is destruct our lives and this earth, all the while thinking we are doing good. Of course He knew Adam's and Cain's answers ahead of time. The point is to make them think about what they have done and realize the intensity of the situation. He wants them to realize that only bad things come if you disobey God.

When God said ''Adam where are you'' it was not because he didn't know were he was. It was signifying God's pursuit of his fallen creation. Even now, he speaks to each of us, saying ''where are you'' while we continue to sin.

@Megafanboy1 Read the entirety of Gen 7:1-17. Just as in Gen 1-2, the timeline jumps back and forth several times during the narrative. If you want a breakdown on how this works, you could say: 7:1-10: God tells Noah to go into the ark, because in seven days it will start raining. Noah obeys and takes the animals, and it starts raining after seven days. 7:11-12: In-depth info on the story and timeline. (Noah's age in relation to the time of the flood, and how long the flood lasted. (continued.)

@Megafanboy1 Gen 7:13-17 - This part is a recap on the story. In the same day Noah and his family go into the ark, they bring the animals. They go in, and God closes the ark up. Then (no time frame given) the flood comes. I study the Old King James, referencing the original Hebrew and Greek. I also study post-college-level science because it agrees with the Bible. God was unhappy with sacrifice's of fruit and vegtables, and demanded a blood sacrifice, because he is a good god (or possible a myian blood god where not sure.) So Cain kills Abel. Okay well at that point I'd be like "Well god here is your blood sacrice." imagine the responce God: "oh...um...ya from now on Cain just stick to fruit and Veg."

@dstachon2002 your right that Cain wasn't aware of Gods omnipresence. Because if he was he wouldn't have lied to God and avoided the question.God could find Adam in the garden. He knew exactly where he was. God wanted Adam to find him and also give him a chance to confess.

@Megafanboy1 *sigh* What do Jesus' words have to do with it? All it says is that people were living it up until Noah went into the ark. That DOESN'T mean it started raining right when they went inside, just that people stopped partying at that time. (Perhaps the earthquakes/etc. started then.) The Bible doesn't clarify how long it took to get all the animals into the ark. It says in Genesis that they went into the ark, and seven days later, it rained. (What version are you reading?)

I find it interesting how anything to do with the bible instantly gets a down vote. If it were any other comic book it wouldn't get nearly as many down votes. People just hate Christianity because it comes in direct conflict with everything they believe. Simple as that.

I don't like this one because he's doing too much of the talking rather than the versus & Scripture doing the talking.I like all the other ones though for the most part as far as the ones that I've seen so far

Good story and presentation, but I just can't fathom anyone taking it as a historic account. It doesn't make any sense whatsoever and it's one of the sickest stories I've heard. This paints God as the most psychotic character, how does that translate into a loving God? It's totally bizarre and the languages part.. really? People could NOT really believe languages came about like that, we KNOW they didn't. I can't believe this is considered a good thing to show children. Blood sacrifices? Wow
