Crazy how that gag was headed back down. Thanks for the vid...really making me look forward to getting back under the water
@danmacmahon39734 жыл бұрын
Alan, that's why it's never a good idea in deeper water to let go of your stringer with one or possibly two fish on it. If their swim bladder ruptures, they can head back down. If you do let it go, best to keep a close eye on it until it hits the surface! Best, Dan

Hi Dan, I've been rewatching all of your vids- I am building a gun with parts from Neptronics and Spearfishing specialties. I'd like to model mine after yours as it seems like you have really perfected the setup. Questions, does you gun have an enclosed track - is the muzzle from spearfishing specialties? Thanks for posting your adventures, they have kept me sane, or at least sane-ish over the last year:)
@danmacmahon39733 жыл бұрын
Hey Marcus, our guns do not use an enclosed track. If you went that way, I think you'd have to front load a shaft and that would really slow you down. We use a "commercial" muzzle that Kevin Bruington originally designed. He quit making them years ago (wish he hadn't!). Glad you're enjoying the videos. If I can be of any help with the building of your gun, just holler! Best, Dan

Hi Dan, just started watching you videos. Thanks for the content. You said you were running between areas and you ran over a great looking spot. I was wondering how you knew it was a nice spot. It seems too deep to see the bottom so were you referring to what you saw on the fish finder or something like that.
@danmacmahon39734 жыл бұрын
Hey ND, thanks for watching and glad you're enjoying the videos. Yes, the wide bottom machine picked it up and I slowed down and went back and locked it in with the Narrow machine. The "image" looked really good with a lot of fish show. Cool little spot. Best, Dan

It angers me to see so many lion fish on these deep spots. If you carried a fish bag made to hold them you could probably rack up the same amount of $'s as killing all the grouper on one spot. Please show a video Dan where you target some of them and see with your efficiency, just how manny you can get. Awesome videos and bad ass dives. Thanks for the on screen tips!
