Um the lyrics are a bit messed up.... I was practicing singing this song and noticed it. It's "I'll shut my mouth and I'll let you go, 2:01" first before "I'll just sit back while you run the show. 2:04" it just needs reversed. It's okay I've mixed up lyrics before too, just letting you know.

Good question. I just played both recordings side by side to check, and with the exception the opening verse being a *tiny* bit more brisk in my rendition, they're the same. Also (FYI) the recording on the CD is 3:05, and mine is 3:15 with a few seconds of silence on either side. All that to say -- they're about the same tempo. :-)

Thank you. Really appreciate it. Oh, it's hard to quantify that. I've done classics (Hello Dolly, Oklahoma!, Wizard of Oz, Oliver, Godspell, Fiddler on the Roof, Grease), some more recent musicals (Last Five Years, Into the Woods, Urinetown) and have played a lot of random selections from various shows over the years with vocal coaching students & through musical theatre classes I accompanied for. I enjoy learning by ear, which is why I've done this Dear Evan Hansen project, but obviously I can just whip something up quickly if I have the notation. Anyway, that was kind of a long answer to your question. Theatre has always been a side thing for me, as I am primarily a classical pianist, but I've been purposefully doing it in recent months because it makes me happy. :-)
