Colin, maybe instead of suction cups, they have cart mounts you can buy and attach it to the front frame (for the windshield) on the black bars. I have one for my sky caddie for the golf cart. Check out their cart mounts to get an idea of what you would need. They basically clamp down on the black metal frame of the golf cart. You won't be able to use the sky caddie setup, but will give you an idea of what I am talking about. clamping it would be much better then those suction cups. Keep up the great work.

You could also have someone fabricate mounts for you pretty cheaply. Much more cheaply than a broken camera

I would have thought that a sheet of timber or perspex that you could mount on the roof of the cart with ratchet straps would work. Mount the antenna onto the sheet then lay the sheet on the roof. Have Tig cut some slots near the edges of the sheet then feed ratchet straps through the slots under the roof. It wouldn't have to be too big a sheet either so would be portable and should fit on any cart.

if the club that gives you the golf carts allows it, try putting some vinyl wrap on the top of the roof of the cart to put the suction cups on top of.. even if its a small square patch it will allow you to suction the cups better.

Why not build your whole set up on plexiglas, bolting down all the mounts, so all the components can be safe and secure. You can then mount the whole rig on the roof of any golf cart. Use inverters to keep everything powered up. Before you know it, you may have a cart that resembles storm chasers.

Colin just a thought to add your suction cup mounts to the roof. You could ratchet strap a thin smooth plastic sheet to the roof of the golf cart (like the windshield) so that your suction cups would have good connection. That way all your mounts could be on the roof for clear signal and highest point. Or good good invests in a golf cart that y’all could customize and drill holes into so you could bring that to all events and courses

Instead of suction cups, I know you can get bar clamps for square tubing to attach those atennas to the tubing that holds the windshield or even the tubing that holds the back of the roof. Back of the roof they would be more out of the camera shot as well if you get head on views while the guys are driving up to their next shots. So far though I’m loving the ingenuity from all the guys. Keep it up!

Those suction cups would stick better to a pvc or acrylic board, hell you could even glue them down to it and have the whole board mounted to the top of the cart with a couple ratchet straps so it’s removable and portable, you could even go as far as to Velcro down other bits like the batteries and use cable ties drilled through for cable management, take a look at guitar pedal boards for inspiration maybe? But what I’m seeing is a light, portable board with everything in place that can be placed on top and secured down in seconds (rubber feet for grip on the bottom will help prevent sliding) and then easily removed with your streaming set up remaining in place, that to me makes more sense than trying to adapt to each type of cart that you end up with and will take a lot of stress out of the day with some prior set up, hope all is good matey and thank you for all the hard work you and Max put in behind the scenes

Just build a rectangular fiberglass or plywood base that will fit on top of the cart. . Mount all the gear to the base. On the base make four reinforced holes on each corner and then use rope or zip-ties to securely mount to each of the four roof supports. Simple, transportable, and Tig can probably build it in a few minutes.

What about mounting the antennas to the hand holds on the top with some clamps? I’d forget the suction cups and go with mechanical mounts. There’s plenty of places on a golf cart to attach them.

For the future with you having to do this on the courses golf carts, could you customize an old golf bag for antennas or whatever so you can for the most part just put the bag on the cart? Like attach antennas to a 1” or 2” conduit that that’s 5’ and goes right into the golf bag. Just an idea, suction cups can be a nightmare especially when dealing with heat and temp changes. Loving the effort.

I’ve seen a setup where everything was mounted to a 3x3 piece of plywood and that was strapped to the cart...the whole thing can be loaded into your car and taken out ready to go and then 2 or 3 straps around the top of the cart and walla...done
