By upping the "difficulty" on a computer, it actually just makes them better at the mini games.

Usually, anyway. Sometimes though in certain Mario Party games I found that the computer is actually worse at some mini games when their difficulty is higher.

I havn't played many other Mario Party games, so I can't argue with that. But I was experimenting in Super Mario Party, with different gamemodes and everything, and I am certain that the difficulty is how good they are at the minigames.

Well I haven't played Super, so I can't say with that one, but the example that always comes to my mind was Bombsketball in the first Mario Party, where if you set the computer on Hard they pretty much just stand there and do nothing, whereas on Easy they'll score in seconds if you don't act fast. Which I recall because my friends and I used to always talk about how ridiculous it was that the hard computers were so much worse than the easy ones at that particular game. It's as if the higher setting programmed them to try to strategize, but they do it so slowly that by time they've had a chance to do anything with it, you've already won.

6:20 there was a time limit but you had like 45 seconds, the thing was you could only pick at max 5 boxes

I’m pretty sure the reason the CPU was acting so erratic in the string mini game is because YOU weren’t doing the right design so it couldn’t pick up on what you were going for. Each time it Rosalina ran around like a blind dog was because you either missed one of the little dot things or because you just couldn’t decide which part you wanted to start up at a good amount of time.

In my opinion, Partner Party is definitely the best game mode - which's weird, considering that I didn't really enjoy Toad Scramble (or whatever it was called) all that much in Star Rush. Side note: there are exclusive items that can only be found in this mode. Just thought I should let you know.

I have never had a problem with a computer on Tow the Line. Then again, I go and solve 90% of it myself, following the path to reach one end and it just leaves the computer to make one "line" of the puzzle and that's it.

I love how much trouble people always have with Tow the Line, they just follow you for the most part.

If you do it fast it works fine. They get confused if you go the wrong way, backwards or sit still. Also they will go faster if you do whichever the bigger section is if it isn't equal

I was playing Super Mario Party, and I "accidentally" scrolled over to blue toad to find out that you can pick your own computer players, and their difficulties, Instead of being stuck with the ones there with the selected difficulties. And don't worry, you can always change this when you're in the party plaza. Just go to toad and he'll give you three options: Exit and change players, change computer players, or nothing. Let me know if this helps!

Jeff has a handicap here. Bowser's dice block has a high maximum movement but is risky and can lose you coins. Meanwhile Rose's block is only slightly lower on it's maximum movement and at worst *gives* you coins.

The string minigame is only really bad if you're more than one player. I played it first on my own and the AI wasn't bad at all. But when I played it again with my friend, it was horrible. I find it best to just take the shortest to you and let the AI walk the long way, otherwise they'll follow you and just undo everything you were trying to do.

"Screaming at the AI" the videogame! They really did something wrong with the AI in this game... Me and a friend played against 2 AIs, and even on the hardest difficulty, the AI would sometimes just walk in the completely wrong direction from the star, it never came close to winning a minigame, and when you had to do the co-op games with them, it plays like a blind person trying to do the minigames!
