I cried when i heard this album years ago and knew that Kendrick was the amalgamation of all the stories that Black & Brown ppl in Hip Hop have been trying to tell since NWA. He told MY STORY for the first time and I'm proud to say that I found my own way out of madness. Mistakes were made and friends were lost, but i never forget where I came from. I was able to live long enough to peace it up with ppl that I considered my enemies and change a narrative in my city. I look forward to one day helping the youth in my city see that there is a better way. I thank The Most High for ppl like Kendrick because it let me know that it's more ppl like me than what i thought. Good ppl that go through bad things and want change. We can make change one person, like us, at a time.
